They are. I just wanted to make the list longer. Techically, though, they are seperate consoles, although they play the same games...
Let's have an AOL/Bnet slang contest! Make the worst possible "sentence" abusing the english language with AOL/Bnet slang! Example:

I will choose the winner.

I was wondering... What is the point of starcraft clans? I never really understood the purpose of clans in other games, but it seems especially odd for starcraft.

Or a combination thereof. I only bought the game so I could use battlenet... That was a very bad investment.
Yes, the people on b.net don't seem too nice. But I think I solved the computer problem. Photon cannons, works like a charm. Now, how do I beat nukes?

This sucks, and there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. Luckily, it doesn't seem to happen very often, at least to me.
About the same as number 1, but it happens more often. The defense to this is to build up quicker. Maybe I'll just post the computer smashing replays as demos of how to build up early in the game, it could help.
Annoying, but not really a problem. Here's a tip: If you quit a game within 2 minutes of the start, you get a draw, not a loss. So if your whole team cuts out right away, just follow them, and find a new game. If it happens later in the game and you're playing with halfway reasonable people, they'll ally with you at the end of the game.

Don't let the computer build that far is the best way. If they do, I'd suggest Scouts to kill the Ghost with Observers to see it. Reavers can also be fun.

Wow. At least bnet phrases are comprehensible.

Don't be discouraged just because things have gone badly for you in the begining, StarCraft realy is a fun game to play on b.net. There are decent people on b.net (besides the people on this board) you just have to find them. I play with people I know most of the time, this usually thins out the riff-raff and gives you an edge over the punks as well.

I'm prety damn busy as well:
A)Catching up from my skipping from French 2 and moving directly to French 3 B)Honors Precalc C)Pretty much every other class I have piles on the homework.
I'm not saying it's bad that you don't get on, I was just pointing it out to Insano

I've had my share of work at school too and I could give you about 10 earfuls on my French 2/3 teacher, but (luckily for you) I won't. I'm having another problem.
All right, I want to decide for myself whether or not to buy Starcraft, so I go looking around online. I find blizzard.com and just scout around a bit to see if there are any screen shots or descriptions or whatever. I stumbled across the demo. So I'm like "Cool!" and I go to download it. Well, AOL does not allow us to download with it's browser (it's messed up) so I go to launch Netscape. Of course I can't because my access level doesn't allow it. So I get my sister to log on. I launch Netscape, and it freezes. So I run the whole routine again. I actually start to download and I'm happy, so I go to do my own thing ( I download at 2k a sec). Everything goes fine for about 3 hours. So I'm checking up on the computer and I see the download advance from 24% to 25%, I figure it's all good - even though the last 5% took 3 times longer than it should've. So I leave and come back 20 minutes later - still 25%. Come back 40 minutes later - Still 25%. So after an hour I give up. I close the window and try to go back to Yahoo, except now the internet won't go anywhere. So I give up. Anyway, to wrap up this epic tale of huge proportions, I tried again an hour ago and netscape just plain old froze while at 0%. So I'm unhappy. I want broadband and I want to know if there's anything I can do to facilitate downloading.

Without the Broadband I don't know what I'ma gonna do... (/Blues Shuffle)
Eventually it works. Before I got broadband I just had to sit and redowload till it worked.
Speaking of rush, is the definition a large scale building of the army or half of the world attacking you?
Oh, and on the MSN zone, I play AOEII. One time I logged in for a non-cheats game, and right before launching the game the host made it a cheats game and launched, without letting the other players (3, including me) have a say. We beat him without cheats, too. Took a bloody long time. Other times in the first few minutes everyone goes nuetral, and it really screws everything thing up, and it lags. Other than that and cheap ***holes who attack you with everything they have in the first 30 seconds, I don't have many problems.

Rush is usually when you start attacking other players before they are ready to fight. It makes sense to do that, but then it completely defeats the purpose of having a game with anything more than zerglings and non-updated marines. It is more fun to wait 20 minutes and let everyone max out and update fully, so the ensuing battle is fun as hell to watch.
About your downloading problem, well, all I can say is "that's AOL for ya," but that's not very helpful.
I say give up on the demo and buy it. I recently found it at compusa for $20.00 (the Battlechest) but I think you said you don't have access to such a store. If I were you, I would probably just buy the game. Or find a friend that has it and play on his computer...
In playing as a terran against my friends who all like to be protoss, I need do nothing but make some nukes and a fleet of battlecruisers, and I can terrorize their bases while they send dozens of carriers to their death at the hands of my BCs.
Since most protoss players make mostly carriers, and BCs can slaughter carriers, what is the best way to use protoss against terran, namely the Terran battlecruisers? Scouts and corsairs? But they are almost useless then trying to eliminate an enemy base.

I see. On the zone you can start after the last age when all technoligies have been researched, that way you don't have to worry about it.
I'm going to try to figure out how to work Gameranger soon, and then I can play AoEII for your personal kicking-Luke's-butt-online enjoyment.
I would say Scouts and Arbiters, use your Arbiters to stasis half their BCs then you can finish them off in chunks. Either that or Scouts and Dragoons, maybe supported by some High Templar. Psi storm works on air units dosent it? If you play Brood War, using Dark Archons to mind conrol or feedback works pretty good when used in conjunction with all of the other stuff I have said.
As terran, how do I defend against swarms of hydralisks? Most zerg players make huge fleets of hydras that can shred through any ground defense. Bunkers are completely futile, no matter how many you have. It would take way too many marines, and batlecruisers are almost useless.

I suggest you test that theory again, then come back if it fails. The important thing about any defese is that you MUST

Bunkers are actually rather good. It works best if there is only one general direction that hydras can attack from, such as north. Build a semi-circle of bunkers in that direction. Put supply depots in front, in order to retard progress by having them attack the depots first or making them have to destroy it after the knockout a bunker. Place a siege tank in siege mode behind each bunker. Some mines in front of the depots and along areas that they must travel to get to you also work well. BC's can be used as well, deployed behind the siege tanks. Make sure that you have SCV's to repair your bunkers, tanks, and BC's. Some medics also work well. In addition, if you know of bridges or other tight areas that they must squeeze through in order to attack you mine that area and put a few bunkers there. The bunkers will almost certainly be lost but will manage to knock off a dozen or two more hydras as well, especially in combination with the mines. If you are worried about supply, do a team melee with two sides and one person per team, or multiple people per team but with everyone on your team being terran. You will get 800 supply that way. This strategy is fundamentely a defensive one and works best when supported by other players. Its job is to wear down the enemy forces, making them use up their minerals while you keep building up. A few nukes and ghosts to use them are also good in this strategy. Many players will burrow their hydras at their base. A few nukes, dropped in a pattern that traps the hydras, will wipe out all the hydras and result in a nice profit as you've wasted an entire attack force costing at least 5,000 minerals and gas for just over a thousand of your minerals and gas.
Also, remember that you must always upgrade your units. And if you want a slightly more offensive defense, get wraits instead of BC's. A dozen or so cloaked wraiths will devastate unsupported hydras. And if they try an air drop, around the back of your base (probably because the front devastated their last army), a fleet of wraiths will create havoc among them, destroying the overlords rather quickly and then cloaking to take out any air support. And if you can't get them all, your rings of missile turrets will take out the rest.
