Well, I'm getting real sick of starcraft. Whenever I play my friends, they make a million photon cannons and a million carriers, and I do the same. I can always take out their carriers easily, but we both make our bases so huge and well protected that it is always a draw ending a very, very boring game. I can't beat anyone I meet on battlenet (not to mention the battle.net community is 10x worse than AOL as far as obnoxiousness in the members), and to play one game takes hours most of the time. Maybe I will resell it on ebay... I need the cash. Along with the copy of infini-d I bought but can't get a hang of...

XBOX freezing? I have never had it freeze. Sure I had to get my unit repaired because the laser broke, but that was because of faulty hardware.

Try Halo or PGR on XBOX and you will know why XBOX is so addictive. It has the most powerful graphics engine of the main consoles, it has the single best game in existance (Halo), and has a built in hard drive. You can download music to the XBOX and then play it in your game! Also the controller is pretty powerful, especially using Halo's default configuration.

Argh, Starcraft is to irritating for me to play now. I got so incredibly burned out on that game when it came out, I can't even think about it now, which is unfortunately the same thing that happened to me with the two warcraft games.
Oh, and about the Mac's being faster then PCs, as far as I can tell this is true when comparing identically speced computers, which means Macs are faster on an equal playing ground. However, for the same amount of money, you can buy a top of the line Mac, and five top of the line PCs, which ARE faster then the top of the line Mac, simply because of their lead in megahurtz. Now, I of all people know megahurtz aren't everything, but they are something, and I will admit that the Mac processor is faster then it's PC counterparts, or at least was a year ago, but the computer I built for 600 bucks is a 1.4 Ghz Athlon XP with 256 MB od SDRAM, and a 60gig HD.. blah blah blah. It is much faster then any Mac you could put together for 600 bucks, which in my opinion, is really the only important thing.
Also, many of the games I enjoy are higly system intensive, Urban Terror (The Quake 3 Mod) and Myth 3 and (believe it or not) Civ 3. My poor old Mac can barely push OS X, but my PC easily pulls these feats off. Regardless of all I've said, I still use my Mac for all tasks not gaming, and will continue to do so, simply because I am more comfortable with the OS, though again, I must say that XP, rip-off as it may be, is as easy to use as I could ask for, I've had no problems with it so far.

Pro-PC and Pr-Civ3...finally, someone on this board I understand!! Civ3 is a great game, but I personally like Civ2 better, Civ3 has TOO many rules and exceptions.

Just keep playing on battle.net, and you'll be able to beat people eventually. I admit many people are annoying, but I've learned to mostly ignore that. The people who play Blood Bath games tend to be a little nicer, most of the time. Also, most of the real jerks tend to suck, and get wiped out quickly in team games.

ares, you can't expect to beat everyone on battlenet when you've had the game less than a month. I've had the game for 2 years and there are still lots of people better than me. You are doing GREAT in proportion to how long you've had the game. Just keep playing.
Mac, if you see this within 20 minutes of its posting, get on battlenet!
I know I could get better in time... My point is that I am just getting burnt out. It's a very tiring game to play, and after so many games it gets a bit old and repetitive. I am going to play less for a while, maybe practice on my own against computers, before I go back onto battlenet. Half of my problem is simply the people on battlenet.

Yeah, they really do swear about that bad. If I compared that next to a log of many of my chats with people on Bnet, you could not tell the difference. It is like AOL, but with even less maturity (if that is possible) and much more swearing.

I have cable, several of my friends have cable, several games on bnet are often called things like "no lag cable", etc. and I have never heard of other people having problems with it.

Played my first b.net game last night, I won. Of course, it was me and 4 allies who knew what they were doing against 3 zerg comps. But still, good learning experience. I'm now trying to play as Protoss as I saw a new defensive tactic that I liked. Photon cannons for base defense. And I like the carriers more than battlecruisers. As for the people, most of them were nice except for one. They were calling me white because my units were white, but on the map I was green. So I didn't know at first. They were telling me to ally and I didn't get it until I saw a white marine. I did so, but that one guy couldn't forgive me for taking so long. I told him I was an newbie. So, he sent in some forces and killed most of my units, the other guys told him to stop and he eventually did. Then he lagged out and everyone was happy. Good first game.

Hahah. You always appear light green on your own map. They see you as white. The color of your units is the same as what everyone sees you as. The light green is just so you can quickly identify your own base, I suppose.

Once upon a time, all the ambrosia board people when on moderately often and used channel ambrosia. I still do, so I'd suggest that. Apparently no one else uses it, because I've never seen anyone there except friends I invited.

I only have one console, a PSX with no GameShark compatibility. However, if I really want to play a game on a different console, I'll just go to one of my friends' house, they alway let me use it. So, between me and my friends, I can play on a PSX, an N64, a PS1, a PS2, a Dreamcast, a Super Nintendo (blah), and soon one person is getting a GameCube and an XBox.
And would you all please stop babbling about StarCraft? I've never even seen it played and I have no intention of doing so.
