Hi, all!
I've been happily playing EV long enough to have conquered everything except Sol and Sirgil Starport. But I seem to have run into a wall--my credits are stuck at 1610.61 and I'm not getting any fresh missions. Just the same ones over and over again. I can make the credits go down by bribing Sol landing port officials or buying expensive commodities and dumping them to space. But as soon as I make a jump, they're back to 1610.61.
Any hints on what the problem might be?

1610.61 is the maximum number of credits you can have. That's why you're not getting more money. I don't see how this could possibly be a problem -- with that much money, you can do practically anything.
As for the missions, it's probably because you've run through at least one of the major mission strings. If you haven't, the Confeds and Rebels are probably pissed at you for dominating so many of their planets.
Edit: 1400 posts. Isn't that some kind of milestone of some type? shrug

Hmmmm....Could it be that I need to release some planets? I tried releasing Palshife after working for the Rebels for quite a while, but found myself overwhelmed with attacking cruisers.

Actually, I'm flying a captured Confederate Cruiser with an escort fleet of Confederate Cruisers (3) and Rebel Destroyers (3).
The problem is that the credits don't go up any more. EVula says I'm maxxed out on credits, so that answers that. Now the question is, how to get different missions? I've done the Rebel weapons raids (got me a tractor beam!), the alien battlecruiser raid, and a bunch of others. But now I'm stuck getting the same ones over and over.
Should I release all the planets I conquered? And what else can I do with all my money? Is it possible to buy planets?

You've done all the missions that you can in EV. I suggest getting EVGE and take on Federation Base Ships.

EVGE? Nah, Galactic Scourge (GS) is the best game expander plug-in. You can make a killer Rebel Destroyer in GS, and you can buy manta bays (ah, heaven). A Rebel Destroyer with a manta bay, now thats what I call lethal :D.
