Some questions

I just found out about this game. I'm a long time fan of Elite. And i heard this
game is a lot like it. The problem is, i've only got a pc. So, here are my questions.
Is there a pc version? Will there be? If not, does this game justify in getting
a mac? And what kind of mac would i need? To be honest with you, i really don't
know much about mac's. What kind of mac does this game require? And suggestions
would be welcomed. Thanks.

yes, but you can use a Mac emulator

if you where to get one, at least a iMac so you can play EV 3: Nova, which will not work with emulaters.
To be honest with you, i really don't know much about mac's. What kind of mac does this game require?
the original EV is a vary low end game. can work on just about everything, others can elaborate.

Basilisk, which I think is a free 68k emulator, can be found (url="http://"http://www.uni-mainz.de/~bauec002/B2Main.html")here(/url). If you need help with the setup, I think there's a link to a guide at the bottom of that webpage.

Somewhat like Escape Velocity, I suppose. My understanding is that it's a 3D (don't get too excited, I'm talking about line art from the pre-graphics card days) game with a basis somewhat like that of Escape Velocity. Have you ever played the Elite Frontiers plug-in? It's based on Elite.

Arc is right on pretty much everything. I would also like to point out that I had EV running smoothly on a 6 year old Performa, the specifications of which I forget. My point is that virtually any Mac in existance will work. If you are looking into getting a mac, I would suggest the new iMac or 1ghz tower. Always buy a top-end machine, because in a year it will be a low-end one. But who am I to talk, sitting in front of my 233mhz iMac? Stalactites are forming right in front of my eyes.
