I used to be an unregister member, and I was involved in an ongoing story where the New Cydonians were involved with the confeds. I had to stop 'coz I went on holiday, then changed location and was unable to access the internet. Where'd it go?

Hmmm, not familiar with whatever you're talking about. I've been hanging around the EV forum as a registered member for about a year now, and have yet to encounter a webstory based on your description.

If you're thinking about the same webstory that I am, then, sorry to tell you, but it died many moons ago. Nice to have you back.

Luke! Good to see you. Dash Riprock, etc. That's me.
Thank's for the link. Good for Reflecting on old times...
That was a crap ending. Mine was the last post. Why the hell did you all give up? let's start a new one with the same rules. And Luke, thanks for sticking up for me with Benden. There's more than one Admiral. (I should know, I met him...)
What happened to your new story? is it still going?

Nah, it was a dismal flop. If you're looking for a good webstory, try Battle for Sol III.

Battle for Sol III is a flop as well. A few players forgot what fair meant, and things got a bit messy... :frown: So much for spending all the time planning it.

That's why I don't like role-playing; it does not follow strict rules.

Believe it or not, the original Battle for Sol was the most successful because it had so few rules. But most of the players seem to prefer extra rules, so I'm going to make it so in "An EV Webstory."

I wouldn't call it that bad... you get arguments in every webstory. David Arthur and I had several back in BfS I. The Aliens possibly being defeated isn't totally unexpected, they've been pressed for some time now. i still think they'd have a chance if they accept my proposal...

Well, the alien players have proven themselves not to listen to a word I've said. They insist I voided their posts because I was upset of an assault on Dreden, when I really did it as to allow us to pick a defense fleet (and command it).
This has certainly been better than BFS II, though.

We listened, and were screwed over the fact that we thought we got to pick the defense fleets. I understood your argument perfectly fine Skyblade, and thought it was pretty fair too. What wasn't fair was that you guys (hc+dreden) still made unvoided progress near my capital. Besides, the only reason we aren't accepting the proposal is because interest has subsided due to the delay and repeating big things like that isn't very thrilling.

I might have accepted Mac's proposal If the Dreden and HC hadn't been so close to our capital. What made me angy was that you were not only insisting on the ability to defend, and attack us at the same time, like making two moves in a row in a game of chess. I also might have accepted a compromise in which we got to pick the defense fleet but you got to command it, but you were asking us to give up all of our advantages. The entire reason for our attack was to take the Dreden out of the game with one swift Blitzkreig, once it was clear that this was not going to be accepted no matter how fair we attempted to be (maybe we weren't, but we tried to be) in our posts, Kyle, Grundy and I decided that we should surrender. It's sad really because BFS III might still have had several weeks of play left in it.

Well, I appreciate at least that you guys felt my compromise was mostly fair. Don't think I could really have made it any better without cheating the Dreden. I'm not that mad about how it ended, since most of the Pirates had sorta fell away on us anyway. Things were getting really slow over in the Milky Way.
