Actually, tracks 3 through 19 totally rock. The others are fine, but they aren't as good as those middle 16 songs.
Also, someone did a cover of I Can't Explain (the first track on the album), and Fatboy Slim (another of my favorite artists) sampled it. It all comes full circle...

Haven't heard the Fatboy Slim sample - which song is it on? And incidentally, have you heard Green Day's excellent cover of My Generation? Or Oasis' even better (and extremely rare) cover of it? Despite the fall of Napster, it's still possible to find it on certain websites. Anyhow,

So, unwittingly to me, there almost was a collaboration? Think of it, it would have been amongst the greats: Slash & Lenny Kravitz, Run DMC & Aerosmith, Eminem & Elton John (OK, maybe not that one), and...Pippin and Pikeman!! I'd feel gutted if it weren't for the fact that your Green Day cover was so good Having said that, the My Gen rhythm guitar isn't too hard to play - but that bass solo is a killer (and, incidentally, also the first of it's kind - useless fact #573 ).
