Well, easy enough for me, I've managed to isolate my problems with B&B; down to about 2 members, but it sounds like the prodding at Skyblade is more general. Maybe "B&Bers;" could just be construed to mean "A majority of the regular posters to B&B;" in the future, or something along those lines?

That would be a good answer. I've noticed that members who share their beliefs and political views at the Banter and Brawl run into trouble. Since I have Christian beliefs and am extrememly conservative when it comes to politics, many of the B&Bers; ranging from forge to OctoberFost like to find any possible way to critisize my posts (and post numbers). Pikeman, CaptainTripps, and a few others are the same way. If they don't agree with your beliefs, they hate your guts. A sick rule, but that's how the majority of the B&B; forum runs. I'm sure Soviet Mikee can relate.

Yes. I was in a homosexuality debate and some of my words were twisted, others completely dismissed. I did get the last word in that argument. It wasn't a desperate one either. No one bothered to respond to it.
First of all, you aren't shunned on the B&B; for not being liberal... I'm fairly moderate (though that means that I inevitably end up arguing with BOTH sides). However, people who make statements must provide back-up for those statements for them to be considered valid. Specifically, many people on the B&B; feel that a large number of those who are against homosexuality have no reason for it, but they just say it (there are exceptions, of course) because that's what they're told to think.

Well, moderates may get away with hanging around the B&B; forums, but certainly not conservatives. Soviet Mikee is extrememly conservative, and he admits at this forum that the Banter and Brawl is a junk.
Anti-homosexual, anti-abortion, anti-pornography, anti-drug, Gore and Clinton bashing, pro-consitution, pro-gun, government power restriction, rights of religion. Those are political terms that describe me, and that the B&Bers; absolutely detest.

If that's a list of conservative traits, maybe I'm more moderate than I thought. Maybe you never noticed because I only firmly disagree with two of those. Of course, that doesn't count "No opinion" on those first three issues. It's not that I don't care, I just see good and bad aspects to both sides (Never really thought of pornography as a major political issue before, either).

Anti-homosexual? I never really did understand that concept. It is a bit weird, but I don't really see anything wrong with homosexuality. Anti-pornography? Censorship is worse. All these self-appointed messiahs trying to shield the eyes of their children from the world and what is out there. And how can you be pro-consitution and anti-pornography? What about all the freedom of speech, etcetera?

Clinton was a good president, though he was not a great guy personally. Gore is no worse (hes better) than Bush. He's boring, sure, but what do you expect from a politician?

Perhaps domestically, but a large number of the problems that the United States is facing are due to Clinton. What happened three months ago is not the first attack against the United States, remember. But, Clinton rarely took action, even though he said he would, which led the terrorists to think that they could do things without fear of retribution. Then there was that entire bribe thing towards the end of his term, in which he pardoned fugitives, not to mention the fact that Clinton never took any action without looking at the effect on his popularity rating.

Yeah, that's the thing about polotics. Many conservatives disagree with their own fellow conservatives on certain issues. A never-ending arguement between parties and individuals.
Actually, pornography has become a major political issue lately. I've gone to several Republican county fund-raisers recently, and I've noticed one of their major goals is to completely outlaw the junk. Since Bush is a Christian and conservative, I wonder if he'll ever direct his attention to the issue.
ares1: Heh, I completely understand the issue of homosexuality, which is one reason I oppose it more than ever now. Americans our day in time believe that "freedom" refers to complete access to whatever they want and wish for. The truth is, the founding fathers created the government as the Bible being the ultimate source of law. The Constitution was based on Biblical principles, which is why the liberals and democrats in Capitol Hill are doing their best to ratify each and every ammendment.
Pornography destroys. I've noticed many people declare "that it satisfies one's desires," but that's a bunch of bull. People who use junk like that to satisfy their lusts expose their lack of self discipline, and they miss out on the happy, guiltless life they could be living instead.
Bush doesn't support ilegal drugs, and he has yet to make any effort to stop it. Again, people use drugs as a source of please, and exposure to lack of self discipline.
Clinton, in my opinion, was our worst president to date. My whole family about threw up when Gore said (just following Clinton's farewell address), "we shall all remember William Clinton as America's finest President." That guy was sad news... Asking God to bless America, and then running off and playing with women. It's also believed that he is responsible for the deaths of over fifty members of Capitol Hill.
I can vote next elections, sweet. Hope Bush runs again.
Bush is a poor speaker, but he sure gets his point across. Gore is a Bore, and is a poor speaker. Better yet, I never could understand the half of what he was trying to get across...
Not debating here either, only sharing my views. It's quite interesting to see what we do and do not share in terms of politcal views. Heh.
