Rip off! For one thing, it's MOTM, not MOM. :rolleyes: This was invented by OctoberFost on banter and brawl. You must be an established and very well respected member of the boards to even consider starting something like this. Basically, you must be the unofficial leader of the board to even nominate people for MOTM. This is serious, not a joke. It an established tradition, and a sanctioned affair. Please consult OctoberFost for use of his idea, or Akula on #ev3 (same person). Only he is qualified to hand over the rights. Cheap imitations will not be tolerated. Have a nice day.

Actually this is an entirely different matter. The MOM is awarded to those members seen as most likely to bear children at some point in the future.

Pikeman, A Member-Of-The-Month program is not a very revolutionary or original idea, at least not so much as a person who once had a similar idea deserves credit. Well, if Jimbob got the idea from him, I suppose he deserved credit, but does not need to be consulted for use of such an idea.

Yes he does. It's an inter-board infringement issue. A time-honored banter and brawl tradition has been bastardized by an insubordinant group of newcomers. The issue must be brought before OctoberFost for decision and/or execution of traitorous offenders.

Actually, I think that having a system to recognize exceptional members is a good idea on all boards. But if you feel so offended at your idea being taken, talk to Jimbob in private, or talk to a mod about it. Flaming and spamming is not neccesary. Keep that stuff on your board, please.

Right, when someone rips off an idea or copies it, it's fine right? The MOTM was Fost's idea, not Jimbob's. Jimbob should have asked permission first. Since he didn't, it was up to others to mention that.
This is not a good idea. Popularity contests suck. Voting and the like usually end up pissing a lot of people off.
And no one is spamming or flaming here. Try to add some sense into your posts please.
