The games on the CD are exactly identical to the ones on this web site. The CD only exists for the benefit of people who have slow Internet connections and can't download the games.

No version of Escape Velocity, EV Override, or EV Nova will ever be networkable, multiplayer, 3D, or made for any non-Macintosh platform. Have a nice day.

does any game made by ambrosiasw have muti-player support? also, does EVERY game have cheat-plug in?

Yes. Ares, Avara, and I believe something else does.
Exobattle is a small game that Matt Burch (author of EV) created. It is a 3D multi-player almost-EV type game. Head over to Just Games for more info on how to play with other people.

Well, saying as not all Ambrosia games support plug-ins of different types, that's a "no".
However, most Ambrosia games have cheats in them. Go (url="http://"http://www.evula.com/cheats/")here(/url) for a list of them.

Nope.
I understand this will remain the case for a long time... play the games a bit, especially the EV games. See if you can find out a solution to coordinating the player moves - some ships take 3 days to cross hyperspace, others take 1 or 2.
Ambrosia hasn't put forth a solution for this, and I can't think of one.
Try to see if you can spot some other areas where multiplayer would be exceedingly difficult.

The Linux port of Maelstrom is also networkable. As is the Mac OS X port of the Linux port of Maelstrom. That's as close as EV will be to networkable

Ignore Matrix, everyone is welcomed to post all they want to here, as long as it is EV related. You're welcomed to post at the Banter and Brawl for your non-EV topics as much as you want.

I. true 2. "stop posting"? Oooookay! Isn't that the point of the webboards? Hey, I like Yoshi! 3. true 4. Hey, I hold the record for 37 posts in a row on this webboard.(kids, don't try this at home)(karma slap warning) 5. Leave him alone, his's a newbi 6. You want him to be like you? 7. Yes, you are.
Bah, who cares if he posts alot. Hell, this isn't the most active web board in the universe, and we can survive a few extra messages.
Dudz, I'm pretty sure that all those questions have either been answered on this board in a message you posted before, or they are answered in the FAQ. The FAQ is God's gift to man (Andrew's, anyway :p) and we must not take it for granted.

Remember that you are a unique individual - just like everybody else.
If I might offer a more helpful suggestion than Matrix, dudz, correct grammar and punctuation are encouraged around here. It's a lot easier to read posts that way, especially for some of our members who don't speak English natively. Poor punctuation and grammar are tolerated to an extent from new people, but we'd all prefer if your posts looked a little more readable. In your case, just use correct capitalization and maybe a comma or two and you'll be fine.

/gives EVula a cookie.
Note, though, you can just set up forums and plug-ins can be done the same way Battle.net does maps (decide at the start). Visbits, just open them all. Mission bits, have all but the repeating ones already done.
So, in reality...

I was just reading dudz question about what you get for attacking planets. I think that the issue here is, ya know if you destroy a planets defense fleet, then ask to land again it will say permission denied, and it will remain hostile until you demand tribute a second time. Dudz may have been eleminating defense fleets but not actualy requesting tribute a second time and thus was not able to collect tribute. Well just passing by, see ya'll later

thankx, i just want the answer, some people just to know how to make comments.

Solly, would've answered, but I missed the question.
Hmm....Multi EV would be cool..... If Multiplayer EV was made though, it couldn't be just like the origninal, like the missions, as said earlier. However, if you took out the factor of time, or just made all ships have the same jumps, than it could work. Each player could have a message board in there mission info box, so if someone was about to start a mission, people could go and join that person. For multi to work, the mission info would also have to turn into some private email thing that you could send to other players or something. Oh well, I'm just dreaming, it will never happen.

Get used to it. It's standard principle here at the Ambrosia webboards. Have a nice day.
To actually answer your question, if you demand tribute from a stellar, and they send out their fleet, kill all of the ships in their fleet. Then, communicate with the planet again and demand tribute once more. They will comply, and pay you tribute of 1,000 to 5,000 credits per day, depending on how advanced the stellar is, on a scale of 1 to 5, one being the easiest to conquer.
