every time I start my EV game it quits itself automatically in about five minutes with an error message. it says it quit unexpedly because of "TYPE 11"

Give it more ram, that's almost always the problem when you have troubles starting EV.

error type 11 is a memory error. try raising the memory by clicking once on the icon and hitting apple+I. this should bring up the info screen where you can raise the memory. i usually keep my preferred memory around 24000 and min around 20000. you should only need this much, though, if your using huge plugs.

If your still having problems, make the memery some HUGE amount. This usually works with me. I am not sure if that is so good to do. Mabye, mabye not.

I keep my preferred memory at ~50000, plugs or no plugs, with minimum at 40000. Don't see many memory errors that way.

Yoyu guys are wrong. It's not a memory error. I have the application called Bombs Away and it says that an error type 11 is a system error. You should restart your computer and make sure no other applications are open. And type -11 is color a error from MakeITable.
Hope that helps.

Sorry, but experience has shown error type 11 is a memory error. Perhaps it's a system memory error, eh? In the wonderful world of Mac error messages, practical experience beats the book every time.
Try adding memory and if that doesn't work restart and if that doesn't work get rid of all your plugs...

Since we are on the subject errors, I there an application that identifies all the OS errors?

I had one a LONG time ago.. then I forgot to back it up and lost it in a crash.. It was old, though... I think it had all errors 1-100 and -1 to, like... -999 or something, but for System 7.5 or so... Something prolly exists, but I dunno what it is. If you find one for OS X lemme know?

You don't need an application to simply (url="http://"http://www.muc.edu/CIS/HelpDesk/faqs/MacErrorCodes.html")list what each error means(/url).

Well, I have a prodcut called "Mac Errors 2." which works well under system 9.1 I'm not sure where one would go about acquiring it, perhaps the Version Tracker site, but it lets you type in the number of an error, and gives a suitably vague and unintelligable answer in response.
