Hmmm... I think everyone has failed to mention the things we cook up in ResEdit when we're demented, depressed, and quite possibly drunk. My Aurora could whip any of those ships. Well, maybe not the Sun Deystroyer, which no one mentioned either.

They don't really count... besides, I doubt it could beat an ISD, probably not even an VSD, to say nothing of an SSD. EV weapons just aren't good enough, in most cases.

There are somethings everyone is forgetting here: 1. EV ships as they are are no match for Star Wars ships but every ship in ev can be upgraded. An upgraded Lightning can take aout an EV Covette easily, An UPgraded Corvette can Trash a stock Kestrel and a fully upgraded(3 manuvering upgrades, Armlplast, Durasteel, Tritanium Missile Jammer, 4x Shield Capacator, Shield booster, Tractor Beam, Flares, Particle Beam, Max Proton Turrets and Neauton Guns) can take out anything in the galaxy without much trouble. Therefore a fleet of fully upgraded EV ships would be so much more powerful than everyone says and more than capable of taking down far superior unupgraded(sp?) SW ships. 2. Cap'n Hector! SW wouldn't have regestered so about 2 mins into any battle the Parrot in it's invincable, unlimites ammo Rapier would turn up and he could take on anything.
3. He tried to kill him with the forklift. The forklift would tear through an entire fleet of SW ships in no time, Just think a rapid fire, long range weapon with sophisticated unjammable guidence systems and a warhead capable of disabling something as big as a Calamari Cruiser or a Nebulon B before they could even fight back. with enough Support even a VSD, ISD SSD or even a Death Star would fall to the mighty forklift.

Utterly irrelevant. EV still can't get near even a Carrack Cruiser in turrets; the Carrack carries 30. Again, there's a massive size differential, a Carack class Cruiser is larger than even a Confed Cruiser, and outguns it by a good 5 to 1 at least. And a Carrack is a minor light cruiser in SW, not the biggest ship in the universe. ISDs carry 120 turrets, SSDs have 1000. EV can't compete with that at all.

I think we're talking about the full game here, but $20 US wouldn't strain SW in any case, and the Empire could send it in and get registered before hector could do anything significant in the slightest.

Wrong. A Forklift would likely take ~1 minute to get through a VSD, and the Vic could easily blow any EV ship off the map in that time. Besides, the Forklift is an easter egg not really worthy of consideration. As for the Death Star dropping to a Forklift, don't make me laugh.

(Back to the topic at hand) Then, what if Bill Gates XXXVIIIII collected all his credits and bought a few SW ships, that might even the score. Well, really, Rouge Squadron can defeat almost anything, maybe there's Lighting Wing from the EV galaxy or something. What about EVO... would some EVO Crusiers and Voinian Dreadnoughts hold up to a hmm, let's say... Nebulon-B Crusier.

Hmm, I guess EVO ships are smaller than EV ships. With ten interceptors, a Dreadnought might be able to hold down a Nebulon-B, but not much of anything bigger than that.
But of course, EVO ships would belong in a parallel topic on the EVO board...

I've looked at it in ResEdit, and I'm something of a student of Star Wars, and know EV inside and out. Trust me, it wouldn't be overly effective. Also, reread that post, specifically the part about plug ships not being mentioned in this particular poll.

Yeah, some of those movies are incredibly complex. Very impressive. Too bad they all use PCs, so there is little chance of them doing EV stuff.
