I have a simple question to start this topic out with. I am trying to make a plug-in. I have just made a ship with my 3D Editing program and I have taken all 36 pictures of it turning 360 degrees. How do I mount those pictures on a grid, without using make-it-spin? For some reason Make-it-spin won't work for me. Could I get some help here?

sigh The old days. I remember when I was here as a newbie asking for help with EV Edit. One simple answer to that... NEVER USE EV-EDIT OR ANY OTHER PROGRAM LIKE IT (besides Schmelta-V for mission editing) FOR PLUG-INS!

If you get the newer version in the EVO addons page it works just fine, and it's a hella lot easier to use than resedit! I've made most of my plugs (which aren't available to download for reasons) with ev-edit.

I have still heard things about that newer one. But I will, myself, take a look at it and see if it works as good as you say.
And by "newbie" I mean someone that doesn't understand the particular workings of some Plug-In editors. Not on the board I mean.
(b)(edit) I think this ropic belongs in the EV Developer's board; don't you, mods? I wish I could do the move ability. ------------------ (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/ev_evo_spacebetweensoftware")SBSoftware(/url) | | (url="http://"http://saberstudios.evula.net")Saber Studios(/url) | | (url="http://"http://pub37.ezboard.com/bdirtyratincorporated")Dirty Rat Inc.(/url) | | (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum6/HTML/001917.html")Soda Wars - A New Hope(/url) | | (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum6/HTML/001907.html")Current Boozerama Bar(/url)

Two things.. #1: Some people are denoted "Newbies-for-life" #2: Its not like this board is overflowing with content

It can stay here.
If you have 36 frames, and you need them in one spin picture, you are going to have to do it the hard way and copy/paste them into one picture. Use the sprites from other ships as reference for angle matching when you paste yours in. Then copy/paste your new 36 frame sprite into res edit, and make a mask with your graphic program (assuming you know how to do that, if not ask).
Chamrin
For using EV-Edit, I only had trouble once(I re-did the entire game making all the weapons take up no space and a few to do a lot more damage and others to not waste fuel etc. etc. :))Don't do that or the game will mess up, believe me I have done that.

To be able to use your images with Make-Spin, they need to be in a pict format. So basicly use Adobe Photoshop or another grafix application and just change the format. Make sure they're the only 36 images in the folder, and MakeSpin will compile them for you into a managable sprite.
And yes, some people stay newbies forever, so live with it

He didn't, but The Space Between did.

Well I've got most of my problems solved now Thanx. Just to keep the topic open let's allow other people to ask any questions on EV Plug-in making
