For those of you who have played the BTAS Teaster... forget about that. That was totally reinvented. Sound good? Well, I think it'll be great. I just have one question: How do I get rid of all of the systems from the original EV?? DO I simply make an EV Data file to replace the original one with? That's what I'm doing now.

Your plugin looks like it might be pretty cool. You should give the aliens and p-feds ships stronger than the human ones, and about as strong as eachothers. Have the rebel/fed conflict sort of like "My best friend can beat you up!" sorta thing. Somewhere along the plotline you could have the allies break up because, perhaps, the Confederation or Rebellion are just "using" them to fight their war for them.
Also, you may want to make a single topic for your plugin and use it continually, instead of posting a whole new topic everytime you have something to say. It will save some space on the board, and make things more convenient for you and your team.

You can make a replacement data file, but you will need to copy all the resources in the original file that you do not create replacements for. The other option is to make new systemsthat have the same resource ID numbers as the original systems in a plug-in file, these will show up in play rather than the original resources in the EV data file. You need to replace all the systems only if you are creating an entirely new galaxy. If you are adding some additional systems and changing some of the originals, you only need to put the new and altered systems in a plug.

Um, it isn't that hard to find them.. if nothing else, just do a search (in your browser) for "The Space Between". You'll find it rather quickly.

I don't know about you, but I have IE5, and when you type something in, like The Space Between, it thinks you're searching for a web address. So, that doesn't work. I'm sorry if I have caused any trouble. But, you can delete it the old one can't you?

Command-F brings up the Find dialogue. That will search the text in the browser, not start an internet search. If it does, you're either doing something wrong, or Microsoft has screwed up yet another thing.
I can delete the old topic, but I see no real reason. I only delete topics that are either offensive, accidental double posts, or my own sig tests.
Hey, EVula, as I understand it, you give out free web space to people for EV fan sites? I have filled up the space provided by my ISP, and I am about to start posting some graphics. Where do I go to sign up? If I get some space, I promise to put a link to your site in my sig.

Indeed, that is a good idea.
TSB, instead of taking the time to update us on every individual thing you change, you could just update us every week or so. That way you could get more done.
