New Mirrors!

I am currently in the process of uploading the full and demo versions of the game to my server, (url="http://"http://www.oxy-web.com")www.oxy-web.com(/url).

Demo: (url="http://"http://www.oxy-web.com/pog/mac_pog_demo.img.bin")http://www.oxy-web.c...og_demo.img.bin(/url)

Full: (url="http://"http://www.oxy-web.com/pog/mac_pog_full.img.bin")http://www.oxy-web.c...og_full.img.bin(/url)

I have unlimited bandwidth on that server (per month that is) and average speed downloading to my computer here at home (On Cable internet) is about 200k/sec.

There's something wrong with the full gamelink / full game file; when I tried to download it I first got a file of 164K and then, when I tried again, a file of 34K. What could be wrong? :frown:

I never knew it would be so difficult to think of a good signature.

Gee... maybe they aren't uploaded yet... I'm working on them. I had problems with Interarchy canceling the uploads, so I have to use FTP from the CLI. Demo's done the Full is about half way done.

Actually... there was a problem with it and we didn't realize it until tonight. The problem has been fixed, though. The server runs at about 500k/sec steady to CS's computer (which is at a College on a LAN). So it should be relatively fast.

Sorry about the problems.

It should be noted, however, that only 6 people can be connected at a time...

Time is not a constant. How long a minute is depends on which side of the bathroom door you're on.

I just wanted to say THANKYOU, Jericon for providing that really nifty licketysplit mirror for the PoG d/l .. just d/l'd at 300k/sec+ .. yeehaw!

Now .. on to paying/registering .. and back to saving the kingdom .. naturally ...

Well... I was unaware of that, but I can't change it as I don't completely own the server, I just rent space on it. It's better than nothing, though.

Due to this development, I would like to ask that only broadband users use this mirror. 6 dialup users being connected for 10 hours straight is a waste of the mirror. I am pretty sure that any broadband person who is connected (even 6 of you simultaneously) will get 300k+/sec, depending on your connection. Oxy-web.com is on a very fast server. Keeping only broadband accessing it will allow more people to use the mirror at one time, it will also take advantage of the speed.

And while on that note... it seems there is a slot open. I was able to start downloading when logged in anonymously.

All I have to say is... thank God for those people running mirrors. I first tried d/l it from Ambrosia, but I was getting an average of like 900 bytes/s. ugh. Then macgamer.com. Still, only 10 kb/s. Finally, this. ahh.... broadband bliss. thank you. 🙂

I think so, Brain, but if they called them sad meals, kids wouldn't buy them.
