I forgot where Evildrome is...

Where's Evildrome??

It is in the Sepens Nebula, tree jumps from Armstrong.

Check out some of the EV guides available on the ASW site. They are really handy. When I decided I was "hooked" by EV I downloaded some of them ... then printed out Albert Wang's map.

There are lots of useful resources for the velociteer. Look around. Have fun!

Here's another tip: When considering whether or not to accept a mission -- from the port mission board, the bar, or when hailed by another ship -- leave that mission on your screen and press the "M" key. It will bring up the map of the system. The map shows a red arrow on each system you already have a mission assignment ... and the cool thing is the mission you are "considering" is shown on the map with a green arrow. (You can also size / zoom the map with the "-" or "+" keys. Enjoy!

I'd highly recommend the "EV Atlas," which containes information ranging from commodity exchange prices to system names. It's available on the EV downloads page under "utilities."

Or, you can do like I did and memorize the entire map. OK, so I don't know what price everything sells for everywhere... but I know most major trade routes, and some common local things to buy and sell as supplementary inclome to missions. 🙂

Admittedly, the camera installed in my memory banks comes in handy for this. 😉

TSB, if you want a specific system name, it's NGC-0595.

TSB, when you need stuff like this, Resedit is as handy (if not more so) as any other utility or map. Simply open the spob called "evildrome" and look under system. It will have the ID# of the system it is in, and then go to the syst resource to see what system name that ID# corrosponds with. Resedit will answer half the questions that you have about EV if you learn how to use it properly.

That's what I tried first. But I couldn't find it.

Here, this should help:

  1. open ev data in resedit
  2. double click "Spob"
  3. Either type "evildrome" on the keyboard or go view--->name
  4. Double click it or hit enter
  5. Look at the system ID field
  6. Take the ID, open the system resource in the main EV Data window, and type in that 3 digit numbers. It will highlight the system you want.

Ta-Da! Resedit can work wonders. 😄
