Glad to see Graphics Converter finally got a comment, though.

Ok, that looks good.
Ok, I have a problem. I know almost nothing about graphics for EV plugins... For a turret to I need an: outfit graphic, outfit thumbnail, sprit for round fired, and a mask for round fired?
I have the first two. I thought a mask had to be black + white, though. What can I use the image you have posted for, Macavenger?
This is the only part of EV plug-in making that I really don't quite have the hang of, yet...

Right.

I was sorta thinking you could use it for that. The standard Torpedo Mask should work with it.

This really isn't my field, as you can probably tell. What exactly is a mask for when you have the same exact image but filled in with color?
Ok, new problem. I am using EV Formula Calc... I would assume that the picture you just gave me and the mask for it need their own ID#s so that they can be linked to the weapon that I want them to. I guess that these can be called Bolts, so I opened Bolt tupe in Formula Calc and enter "130", the Resource ID# for the weapon that I want this to be for.
It says that "A bolt type is not a resource, but youre still limited to ID#s from 0 to 60."
So how do I link the torp mask and the bluetorp image you gave me to the weapon of my choice?
Immediatly after I posted my previous message, I found my answer.. Sorry, dumb question. I need to fill in the graphic field... Just ignore that question before. My mistake...
Ares, can you explain what you mean by "bouncing back"? The address is : plugs3@evula.net .
Oh, and in your plugin, you don't need to have junks, oopses, and nebus if you don't plan to make any changes to them. Likewise, you can delete all unneccesary weaps, systs, outfs, etc etc.
------------------ Coreyล (Cubed) Uh, that word? You spelled it wrong. Yeah, that one right there, next to the period. And you're missing an apostrophe in the word "its".
I'm kind of working on everything at once. That is why I was reluctanct to give you plugin. I am updating it so constantly that I really don't know if it is ready for missions. We really need the alien planets, first... Maybe you should just wait a few days so that I can get all this straightened out. I think we should definetly do missions last, because they require everything to be in place, first. Sorry... But I can't think of a better way to do it.
Ok, Macavenger, is the graphic you posted the spin or the sprit? And do I need both of those? I don't quite get the difference.
Ok, I got the sprit/spin thing down. Sorry for all the really dumb questions... Something had me thinking that spin wanted a graphic.
Alright...all that I need to know now is: what do I put for the xsize and ysize fields?

The size of a single sprite / mask frame. To put in simple terms, every ship comes with 36 frames. Each of those frames is composed of a different ship angled views of the ships, but they all have the same size (for instance, 8 by 8 pixels, or 40 by 40 pixels). You must find the size of an individual frame so that EV can place the invisible grid on the graphics. But keep in mind that EV will only except frame sizes which are multiples of eight (8 x 8, 16 x 16, 24 x 24 etc.). EV usually screws up graphics which aren't multiples of eight, so make sure you keep this in mind.
Hope that all made sense.

Yeah, it made sense. So how, exactly, do I find out the size in pixels? Is there a way to do that in graphic converter or photoshop? I'm sure there is, but I never had to do such a thing so I never learned.
Two options: You can open the image in Graphic Converter or something similar and use it to get the size of the full image. In GC, do that by hitting Shift Command I (eye) while the image is open. That will tell you the size of the full image; divide that by 6.
Or, you can cheat by looking up the values in the Torped spฤn from EV Graphics, since I didn't change the size a bit.
Since the second option is so easy, I'll let you look it up yourself.
BTW, I see you have a karma point now, Congrats.
Last night I went ahead and got the numbers from the torpedos.. That was common sense. I just needed to know so that I can do it in the future.
Alright, I got the blue torps working. It looks great, exactly as I had imagined it.
I have a lot of work on the weapons to get done, still. I made all of the G.A. Ships and all of the new Pirate ships. They just need graphics and they are ready to use. I will do the alien ships soon so that I can start making fleets for defense fleets and missions.
At least we are making some progress.
Oh, and how are the planets and graphics coming?

Excellent. As for the outfit version of the graphic, do you want both a turreted version and a simple launcher version (like the torpedo)?
Launcher? I was just going to make this thing a turret... But I do need a new torpedo launcher. Just a cooler, modified one. Same for the missile launcher. And the missiles and torpedos. I think you could just change the entire missile color, like have it be a big red one instead of white + blue. You're the artist, so you decide what looks best.
I named a ship after my dog... Tee-hee-hee.
I am thinking about asking another person to help me with the alien technology. This is taking a lot longer than I had first thought.... So if anyone is reading this who is willing to make a few weapons and outfits - and perhaps a few non-alien ones - email me or post here.
I am going to use one of Shade's awesome ship sets for the merchant ships in my plug, skyblade, I am still having you do all the warships - the ones that I listed earlier. I wasn't even going to modify the standard EV merchant ships, but they are so... plain. I am going to take a few of Shade's graphics and use those for the standard EV ships. Ok?
Erion spรถb Build 1 completed and returned to ares.
Well, I havn't quite finished looking at it, but what I have seen is awesome, Macaveger, especially these planet descs. You did an awesome job.
I'm copying over your planet and descs into my version of the plug, and once I ever finish the erion technology and ship I will give a defense fleet, tech, and whatever else I need to add.
/me sits by idly. I know my time will come...
