I noticed, when poking around in the EV Graphics file that came with the game, that there is a button with the label, "Demand More." It seems like you would use this when someone was begging you for mercy, or when you conquered a planet. But it never shows up the game... Not to mention that no one in the game begs for mercy.
So why is this button here? Is it in the game, and I'm just overlooking it?
Also I see a button labeled "Back Room". Whats with that?

Yeah-that Back Room thing has puzzled me since I first browsed through the EV files with Res Edit.

The "Demand More" and "Back Room" buttons were intended to access features of the game that were planned but never implemented or dropped during development. I believe their presence in the graphics file is just an oversight. IIRC, they are present in EV:O also, but they don't do anything and cannot be made to function.
This really ought to be in a FAQ somewhere, the question has come up on the boards hundreds of times

Indeed, it is. Next time I get around to adding to the FAQ, I'm adding that (as well as how you CAN'T get the bulk freighter and luxury liner in the stock game).
As for this topic, question answered, iLock.
