How much bigger do you need? I can resize it for you and post or e-mail you a plug with it done. It can be done, but involves some difficult mucking with EV itself (the app, not data files) which probably shouldn't, in my opinion, be attempted by amatures(sp?). I already did something similar for Alien Invaders - you can see an enlarged dรซsc box in one of the shots on (url="http://"http://members.home.net/e-gamerguy1/ev/alien_invaders/main.html")my site(/url).

Eh...let's see, about 2 or 3 lines more...I'm planning on opening a website with the beta version soon, anyways.

Alright, I'll try to have that to you a bit later tonight. I'd do it now, but dinner's about to be calling.

Me too, as I have enough sharp pointy knives and swords that I can be most unpleasant...
Oh, don't worry about web space, I can get you covered on that one...
Seriously, though: email me about what you want your evula.net subdomain to be. I'd be a fool to NOT host the plug's site...

EVula: Just how much webspace do you have / give out to EV sites hosted by you, and is there a cost? I'm not yet sure if I'll be able to get space on my dad's server, so if you have lots of free webspace (and a very fast server), than a subdomain on your server sounds very nice.

According to my host, I still have 299.09 megs left. However, don't think that it is an open invitation to take it. I'm giving out bits of space here and there as I see fit; should I need more, I'll upgrade my hosting options; its coming out of my pocket, but I'm alright with that, as long as I'm not paying $100/mo on hosting (right now its about $30 between the two, as my host for EVula.com is damn expensive; a move is coming, soon).
As for speed, I've yet to have any speed bumps with it. Then again, I don't go to my sites that often. I'll occasionally check up on random directories, just to make sure that everything is working correctly; I recently found a graphic mistake in the (url="http://"http://www.evula.com/")Shipyard(/url) by doing that.
Edit: forgot to mention, its free.

Over all, sounds pretty good. When I say I need plenty of webspace, I definately don't mean at the moment. As you probably know, Saber Studios is currently small (and probably takes up around 1 and a half to 2 megabytes of webspace), but in a few years, such a website could be taking up around 50 to 100 megabytes with all the large graphic and plugin download files. This wouldn't even be a problem for awhile, but I just wanted you to be aware that if you did allow me to use some of your server space, Saber Studios would certainly grow.
The reason I ask for speed is because of all the problems with f2s. At my old tmgmedia space, I could load my websites 3 to 4 times faster than f2s.com. I guess what I want to know is if evula.net provides good upload and download (especially download) speeds, as well as site loading speeds. You've said you haven't had any bumps so far, but I don't know exactly what that means.
Your server allows clients to log onto their accounts via FTP, doesn't it?

Alright Corey, I've expanded the bar description field from 6 to 9 lines of text for you. Anyone who wants to can use this, I'm not going to formally release it or anything, but if you need a few extra lines in your bar dรซsc for a plug some day, just throw it in and give me a spot in your credits. All you have to do is copy and paste from this into your main plug. The file is (url="http://"http://members.home.net/e-gamerguy1/ev/EVexpandedbar.sit")here(/url).
And EVula, any thoughts on the Karma for Corey petition?
(edit) Gods, you'd think I could remember what I named the file for 20 seconds... (/edit)

Yup. You also get a POP3 email account (it can also be checked via the web) that is the same as your subdomain.

If you only knew..

Thanks for the expanded bar, Mac - I'll apply it to the plugin as soon as I can.
 I get some EVula.net webspace?!? Cool! OK...let's see...er, how about plugs3.evula.net? Should I email you with any more info?

just to be correct, it is evula.net not EVula.net
EVula in reference to a domain name is only EVula for EVula.com
Trust me on this one- ~Iron Eagle

Err on the side of caution, that's me Not that I have any idea who you are, or why you're the expert on the matter, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. It's evula.net. K?
Oh, Mac! That's sweeeet!! It fits perfectly now. If/when I get the space from EVula, I'll post the plugin. I have a few minor tweaks to make until then.
A question for anyone who can help: Ahh! My ResEdit is stuck in Hex Editor mode! I had this problem once and can't remember how I fixed it. There's no button or menu item that I can see to fix it :frown: Help, please!! I'll have to resort to EVE if I can't fix it!

plugs3 works for me. Definetly email me, unless you want me to spit out your password and login site right here for everyone to see.
Trust me on this one**
Aye, that is how it should be. I'm just so damn picky about my name.
And IE knows, because I just had a conversation with him about this very same subject.

Get the TMPL resource for EV plugins. If nothing else, create a new plugin via EV-Edit, and select the option to install the TMPL resource. Once you do that, just open it (in ResEdit) and copy/paste into your own plugin.

Far be it from me to argue with EVula...

Ooooh, so that's what a TMPL is for...
Also, if you only work on EV plugins (as opposed to EVO), you can paste the TMPL resource directly into your ResEdit preferences file and they will be there in EVERY plugin you open. I'm not sure what happens to EVO plugs, though.
Ahh...the reason I never had the problem recently is because I had EV Data open at the same time for copying and pasting. Once I closed it the TMPL was gone.
OK, the plug is ready. As soon as I get the go-ahead from EVula, the site will begin constuction.

You'll have to wait until I get back home (I'm at work right now), as that is where I have my text clipping that has everything I need. Everything else I need from you was covered in the email I just sent. Welcome aboard.
I got the email. Thanks! I'm very grateful for a reliable, ad-free site (I was planning to use GeoCities).
