I know this has been discussed before, but it's about time I refresh my memory and find some good trade routes. Although I normally stick to robbing pirates, investing in the commodity exchange can often be just as profitable.
So post away with some of your favorite trade routes, and share them with everyone else.

I said it before and I'll say it again. The Zaxted<-->Diphida route is the way to go. Buy metal on Diphida and Equip. on Zaxted, and you can make some big money selling it on the other planet. Plus, occasionally the metal will sell for higher prices on Zaxted, and you can buy lower priced equipment there as well.

Buy medical supplies at Rupert. Sell them on Clotho II. Buy food there and sell it on Palshife. Go back to Rupert and repeat the process.

I've never really "found" that one... I've usually stuck to trading food between Centauri (or Rigel) and Earth, although it's only a one-way route.

Now a three-stop trade route is something I've never tried before...

I personally think that is the best trade route around. Food often sells extra on Palshife too. Another ok one is buying tons of medical supplies on new japan and waiting for it to go extra high on either Lethe or Cydonia. Only do this with a bulk freighter though, escorts are a waste of money while waiting.
Skyblade, a one way trade route selling food? Eee gad man, the cost of fuel is more than you can make doing that. My favorite is the Pollux-->Procyon route doing lux goods and food. Its regularly a one way route, but I buy food low at one and sell it at medium at the other. It's quite lucrative.

Yarg, really? I remember seeing bulk freighers in the escorts screen somewhere, but I guess it was a plug-in. EV stock senario needs more heavy haulers...

Yeap, but I've always managed to get much more income with lots of escorts than fuel prices demand. But then again, I've never looked really hard for a good trade route, so the one I already mentioned was the route I first used...

This topic hasn't been done in months..
I used to do Adhara(medical)->Lethe(food)->Cydonia(metal)->Adhara. Buy medical on Adhara, sell Medical on Lethe and buy food, sell food on Cydonia, buy metal, sell metal on Adhara, buy Medical, repeat. Clipper, Argosy, and Corvette pirates are common between Adhara and Lethe, so the route is rarely dull. Additional combat misns can be had on Lethe and Cydonia in their war if you want more action. Greedy masoshists are only a jump away Privateer's Haven and Kestrel pirate action.
I stopped doing this route in favor of the Diphidia<->Zaxted route because I have taken to using pathetically outfitted shuttles and scouts. They die alot on the Adhara route. Nonetheless, I think the Adhara route is more lucrative than the Diphidia route, if you are tough/fast enough to survive it.

I started this exact topic a few weeks ago when I was opening up the game for the first time in a long time. I got about 2 replies, one of which was helpful, and then it just died.
So the topic was here, it's just that it died so quickly no one noticed it.
Thanks for all the replies, guys. I'm currently logging all these routes into a Simpletext document, so that I'll have them on hand when I decide to put them up on Saber Studios. If you've got any other routes in mind, even ones that aren't so profitable, just let me know...

Another useful route Virgo<->Sirgil running luxuries. Not especially lucrative, but good if you are in that area and need some cash.
