I've totally re-done the homepage and other portions of Saber Studios, so pay a visit and tell me what you think. If you have a slow connection, the site will take roughly 23.7 years to load. I plan on moving the website to my dad's swift server soon, however, so that should fix the slow loading speed.

I'll give you some feedback if I can get it to load, all I'm getting now is a black screen, and the Browser has claimed that it's finished loading. So right now, I'd have to say thumbs down. :frown:

That's strange... I also have cable, and it takes about seven to eight seconds to load the entire index page. What browser are you using? Saber Studios was designed with Internet Explorer in mind...
Please keep me posted. I want to hear if you fix the problem. I've about had it with f2s' extrememly slow server...
Nice. The main graphic is a bit over crowded but otherwise the sit is great.
However...

Does this mean BFS III must wait for the UE Set AND a Rebel or Confed set?

Thanks. The graphic is crowded, but otherwise I would have had to make the image bigger and permit more loading time.
I thought we had the issue about the Dreden Graphics settled. We're going to use the old graphics from the Dreden War plugin. Did you hear about that?
Thanks for the feedback.
I was refering to the map.

I tried in Netscape, but since I'll probably be booting to OS X in a minute, I'll try in OmniWeb and get back to you. Meanwhile, I try in Netscape again... no luck. f2s is definitely slow though - kinda puts these boards here to shame. It did report downloading something at 1.1 k/s before it cut out.
P.S. Internet Exploder is a PoS, especially in OS X. It's best to do sites with all browsers in mind.

Alright then. The site should atleast load, even if the f2s is as slow as it is. Have you tried hitting the "reload" button a few times?
I don't intentionally design my websites for Internet Explorer, that's just the browser they show up best in. For some off reason, Netscape usually has a problem loading my websites, and when it does load them, all the images are often scattered about.

Um, I already finished the map graphics weeks ago.

He means the updates.
Loaded fine in OmniWeb, and looks good. Can you add my site to your links page, especially since yours is in mine? Link to it in my sig at the bottom in case you forgot.
Also, yes, I did try Reload a few times. Nothing.
One note - It appears the "Return to main page" link from the Phase Weapon set goes back to your old fashioned index page, not the new main page.
(edit) Just double checked that, and it looks like that link on all of the sets go to the old page. Is that intentional, or a bug? (/edit)
And you'll be able to constantly update them? Anyway, if you're all ready, why don't you just start the webstory now?

Because not everyone has checked in with me on other graphics yet.

I'm still not sure what you mean by "the updates." Could you explain?
Glad the site worked in OmniWeb. I'll get your website on the links page as soon as possible. Thanks for being the first to submit a link.
About the link going back to the old page, you probably need to refresh the page when the browser takes you back to the old index. According to my f2s account, the old index isn't even on the server anymore, so I have no idea what's going on if that doesn't work...

As I said before, I will not be showing fleets on the map (which will make it very important for players to post their locations everytime they post). The only way I'll be updating the map is by changing the color of captured planets.
I'd rather not start the webstory till I get some webspace on my dad's server. His server is as fast as lightning, and I'll have unlimited space. It will also be easier for me to re-upload graphics...

Updating fleet locations and planet governments.

It's his browser cache. Either he reloads the page or empties his cache.
Map updates. Changing the systems and such, you know?
Ah, refreshing did the trick. OmniWeb seems to have had your old index cached.
And Skyblade, I thought I was handling the webstory now, since you're busy... wouldn't that make me the one in charge of graphics?

Refer to my last post.

Yeap, I just emptied by browser cache and refreshed the old index page, and it was replaced with the new homepage. Problem solved.
Skyblade- Do a confed set and give the 'Feds some kick*** graphics

I was actually already planning on that. Perhaps a sleek, 3/4 angled Confed Cruiser for EV would be appealing...

Oh yes! Also one with more aggressive and sleeker curves.

Alright then, you're on. My next project will be a Confederation Set.
