I can't find the full version on any mirrior except for the other AmbrosiaSW mirror (like 50% faster... so 500 bytes/sec)... wow.
how about serving it on hotline.ambrosiasw.com or having macgamefiles or somewhere host the FULL version

well if I'm not wrong I think you test the demo, then you pay for the game and you are given a login and a password so you can download the full game. I don't think Ambrosia will give out the full version as too much people will play the game without paying the shareware fee (which is lame).

Having a 100baseT 11mbit downstream cable connection, I opted for the full version, as to play and pay etc etc.
the full version is in the same FTP folder as the demo, just as easily downloadable.. same speed for transferring etc and same availability.
I wonder how all the phone modem folks are faring...
I might opt to wait for the next CD to come out and buy that... I haven't decided yet... until then, I'll continue looking for another server (or a faster time of day) to download the full... I've been reading preambles/reviews/looking at screenshots like a freak... looks like so much fun

After installing SpeedDownload, you should be able to control-click an item in Internet Explorer and begin the download with SpeedDownload (or copy/paste the URL to Speeddownload manually)..
Soon, the download has begun... but it seems to stop under 5%... you have to hit the Stop or Stop Queue button, then hit the Get it! or Start Queue button... this will stop the download (although it is already stalled by Jeri's server) and restart it from where you left off (one of SpeedDownload's features is resumeable downloads)...
You have to manually sit and watch your target be downloaded, as it will stop every few percent... but it is the fastest way to download it... about 800k/sec here... ehehehe

We'd love to have MacGameFiles host it, however, they refused because the full version is too large.

No, it isn't. As has been mentioned before, the ftp site is simply full. Your FTP software should not be asking for a user name and password, it should be reporting the message that the ftp site is full.

It happened to me, but I tried coming back later and it worked, until I tried to download the file. I was using Internet Explorer.
is that normal I can't load saved games in the Full version, although I can in the Demo version ? it simply says "you can't explore any further blah blah blah"

That's a bug. To get around it, drag and drop your saved game on PoG while PoG is not running.

It's because of the User Anonymous Access Denied message. Cheap GUI ftp clients assume whenever they see that message that a login is required to use the server or to access that file. Lesson of the day -- use a real FTP client, like andrew.
