EV-Edit is possibly responsible for $200 repairs to my Mac. Get the latest version (3.3) if you can.

Don't use EV-Edit. It's usually buggy, too complicated, and more flashy then functional. ResEdit is the best plug making utility, period.

(quote)Originally posted by General Rak: How'd it damage your computer?;) Something really bad happened to the hard drive, the computer would never start up, etc. And he kept saying how it was my fault for using EV-Edit! Really, I have no idea what happened, but the Mac is 5 years old anyway, so it could just be worn out. And the repairs business, some guy charged us around $200 to fix it (all he did was install a bigger hard drive!). So, I'm not exactly sure what happened, but all I know is it's fixed now (mostly).
I'm looking for a plug called "Text Expander" has any one seen it i need it for my plug?
