I'd go with a Corvette. I chose a Corvette because it can move faster, has a better recharge rate, and can outrun the explosion of the spacebombs in Pirate infested space. I usally outfit it with 3 Proton Turrets, two fuel pods, the Shield enhancements, the speed and turning upgrades, and a Space Bomb Rack, and 10 SPace bombs. I then buy Proton cannons till I don't have any more space.

1- The covette has only 2 turret spots. Explain how your's has 3 turrets. 2- Don't you think 1.5 shields for 3 tons is worth the weight? 3- I see you are a space bomb lover. They are too powerful for me.

But did you know that in the long run lightings cost less than Hawks to maintain. You see, hawks have no armour, they can't be disabled. And they are so weak they will be destroyed quite frequently. Lightnings are strong and can be disabled and relaunched.

You have a valid point, but you have to spend the 10 mil to get the Kestrel just to be able to have a Lightining bay. I'm not saying that I hate Kestrels and won't buy one even when I get the funds, I'm just saying that they are pretty darn expensive.

Right, but what I'm saying is that if you keep having to replenish the hawks, your cost could well accumulate above that of a Kestrel owner.
