ICQ is slow and ponderous but this is the first time I've had a reliability problem...of course it happens when I most need it.

He (my brother) hasn't used ICQ in a good two years, so that may explain a few things...I likely used an older version.

Oh, Skyblade you mentioned something about other people having this same problem, but just not with EV Magma? What exactly IS this problem and do you know what causes this?
The usual problem with Stuffit is that it can't read some newer Stuffit files. I had this problem a lot. I can send you Stuffit 5.1.2(the newest version). That is what I used to open EV:MAGMA.

Most likely an old version of Stuffit Expander. Although in rare cases the plugin file is the problem, your expander is the likely problem. Admiral Bendon's advice sounds good, so by all means get your hands on version 5.0 or later.
