If we only look at TC plugs and major addons here, which makes sense to me, I would probably have to say Star Wars. It just corrupts the whole spirit of Star Wars. Graphics are pretty good, where they were bothered with, everything else pretty much sucked.

Legion 1.5 This plug was only mediocre. BUT it had somehow modified some of my EV application files (the files like EV title, EV music etc). I had to reinstall EV. Since then, I have locked all my EV application files. There exists a Legion 2.0 which I have not dared touch.
Astex 2.01 Mediocre story, gets a place here due to a couple of fatal mission bugs that make the main story unplayable.
FFB (full fledged bastards) Good story judging by the readme and website. Can't play it because it crashes EV 1.0.5. Hmm, I haven't looked at this in quite a while. I might be able to fix it now that I know more about how plugins work.
Starwars No plot. Would be OK if this plug was named "Ships of Starwars" and not sold as The Ultimate Starwars on EV plugin. The best part of the Starwars movies was the story not the ships, which is why this plug is so disappointing.
Small plugs are generally good-- they just introduce a new concept. If you dont like the concept, at least you did not waste 4 hours realizing that it sucked. You can usually get 3 or 4 of them to work together for a warped experience.

You haven't even scratched the surface on why it's so bad. I really shouldn't get started, I go on for too long... Besides, a lot of it wouldn't even make sense to non-Star Wars freaks/purists, of which I am both. (Also an EV freak/purist, of course :))

Star Wars would be top-of-the-line if it weren't so buggy...The Override version is even worse, in which the weapons stop working all together in time...Graphics are very good, though.
i think all of my old plug-ins suck. all the ones i made before i knew what i was doing. i never released them, which was probably a good thing.

My first plugin was pretty bad...It simply gave all the cannons a little more range and rate of fire. Good thing I never released it.

Are we all talking about the same Ultimate Star Wars plug here? The one with 17 decent ship graphics and nothing else at all? Skyblade, please tell me you're talking about something else, because if not I'm probably going to have to go on a wild rant against that plug, explaining all its myriad deficiencies to you.
Ah, well. I've improved a lot since then. Check out The Dark Beyond. It's a TC with a lot better graphics, plot, ect. then the Teckktra Trilogy. ---------------------------------------------------- Dark Beyond looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than Tekktra!!!

there are two starwars plug-ins, one is ANA, and i can't remember the other one. (yeah, that was helpful :rolleyes: )

I'm talking about the one that makes Override look like the Star Wars universe. (You know...Star Destroyers flying around, TIE fighters here and there...) I had no idea there was another Star Wars plugin for Override...

No, I'm talking about one of the plugs for original EV.
I'm talking about "starwars 2.01" and its associated updates. I have not tried the Starwars ANA PPC/68K
ANA is so much better then Kris Hauser's SW. Only problem is some of the planets are the same, just modified to fit the Star Wars galaxy. I have (I think) Kris Hauser's unfinsihed EV3 Override, which added some more graphics. There was an Star Wars EV Kris Hauser site, but it closed down. The entire stardock.simplenet.com page closed down. Don't know what happened. Has anyone checked out SW 2.1? Seems someone wanted to fix a lot of the bugs in SW 2.

I know of at least three Star Wars plugins. First, there's A New Alliance. Second is Kris Hauser's Star Wars 2.0.1, which has good graphics but not much else. Finally, there's Hauser's Star Wars II, which is actually quite good and has a fair bit in the way of systems, missions, etc. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's available any more except as a defective port of the plugin to the Override engine.
