Where do you get 'Pale?'

I can't seem to find where it can be downloaded- I don't think it's on the EV add-ons page. Thanx 4 the help.

It is most definitely on the add-ons pages. That's where I got it. At the bottom of the first page there are numbers labelled 1,2,3... each gets you a page of more add-ons. Sort (options at the top) by ratings or downloads - Pale is near the top (on the first page) of each. Or sort by name and go from there. Latest version is 1.9. Also download the patch, called zzzpalefix or something similar (I didn't name it). Sort by name to get the patch - it's on the last page.

Go here, (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=ev&category;=plugins&display;=rating&page;=1")http://www.AmbrosiaS...y=rating&page=1(/url) , scroll down fourteen plugin files, and there Pale awaits you. 🙂

I couldn't find it either, as I wanted to download the new version. I'm beginning to think that the newest version of Pale may surpass Galactic Scourge...

Latest version is Pale 1.9 and Galactic Scourge 1.4.5. Played both extensively in the last month or so. Both are excellent IMHO in terms of graphics, plotlines and stability (GS is bug-free so far and Pale has a patch provided). GS pulls just ahead due mostly to the sly humour. Pale is business all the way - and it fixes important game physics (like lasers now move a LOT faster). But for ship firepower balance New Horizons is the best I've seen - there is no way a fighter in NH can take out a capital ship - the shields recharge too quickly. It's still too easy in Pale and GS to be cheap and Monty Python capital ships in your scoutship, although some opponents do pose special challenges.

I've been playing Pale and Galactic Scourge lately as well, but primarily GS. Although I find the missions, new outfits, governments etc. very interesting and exciting, I must admit that Pale (especially version 1.9) has some of the best graphics you'll find anywhere. In Galactic Scourge, you can tell just by looking at weapons such as the tri-proton cannon, deathray turret etc., that the plugin was somewhat rushed. Otherwise, both plugins offer some unbeatable entertainment.

🙂 he he he... Play for Diphidia for a while in GS and then look at the shipyard pic of the ship that has the Deathray on top- it's the phoniest pic!

😛 GS is hilarious! But not so completely rediculous that you want to throw up...

LOL! That bulk freighter with the deathray turret on top was the first picture I thought of when I said "the plugin was rushed." My, my...No disrespect to the creators of Galactic Scourge, but it looks as if that image was made with Kid Pix. 😉
