I sorta rotate. Often I feel like having fighters, so I go for the Cruiser, but otherwise i take the Destroyer. It's almost paradoxical on the surface but, the Rebel Destroyer is harder to kill the way I fly stuff.

Heh, I knew my signature would probably be popular on these boards, but this is the first comment I've gotten, thanks. 🆒 If you click the info button on one of my messages and look at occupation, I listed "PC Basher" there too. 🙂

Maybe I should post my idea on Just Chat. (Maybe I'll get my karma lowered. Or a new, humiliating nickname.) I'll do it!

In order to get Rebel Cruisers without the Rebels getting pissed off is simple. It requires a LOT of money, but it's also the easy way. First, buy a Cruiser. Next, disable a shuttle, courier, or some such ship. Board it. Capture it. Here's the crazy part, USE IT AS YOUR OWN SHIP. Then, your old Rebel Cruiser is now your escort. Finally, buy a new ship of your choice.

Actually, it is kind of hard to capture a shuttle. They blow up so easily. You have to be very precise in your attack.

6 Rebel Cruiser escorts and their 42 Mantas all launching missiles at the same will serve as a crippling, if not, fatal blow to any ship. So that's the way to go.

Yeah, you heard me.

Ooh, now I have a reason to go on Just Chat. I'll be watching that topic with interest. I don't think you'll lose karma, Rawzer, but it should be interesting... 🙂

I don't think that capture thing is that crazy, makes perfect sense really. If you don't want to try to disable shuttles, there are other ships you could use that are still easy to capture in a Cruiser. Might i suggest Argosies? Usually some in the Satori system, still easy to capture, and You get a higher trade value.

And, um, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were typing too fast and transposed the 2 and 4. That should be 24 Mantas, not 42.

(edit) Rawzer, I don't see your topic on Just Chat, maybe you haven't posted yet, but when you do, could you put a link here? I (and probably several others on this board) would like to watch it and see what happens. (/edit)
