Yes, but you can only get the 'Defend New Cydonia from Letheans' or vice versa. Or you could get a plugin that continues the war, like Pale (I've never played it because the download always screws up) or something from the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=ev&category;=plugins&display;=date&page;=1")EV Plugins page(/url).

I always root for the Lethe. Why? I have no idea...The Pale plugin makes the war all the more exciting.

I could never use Pale, because once Stuffit Expander has run for a couple of seconds, 'Sorry, but a disk related error (-39) has prevented the operation from concluding.' I really want to use it, though.

Have you tried expanding another copy of the compressed "Pale" file? It sounds as though the file you've got is corrupted.

You have probably thought of this already, but which version of stuffit expander are you using? I am pretty sure that older versions of stuffit can't expand archives created with version 5+. Try unstuffing the file using the latest version of stuffit.

There has been a problem with the Pale plug for at least the last two months. One of the Mods was trying to contact someone about it, but I have not heard anything new.
Every week or so I try to get Pale again ... unsuccessfully.
Good thing I'm enjoying C&B;'s plug "in the meantime."

I downloaded Pale a week or two ago, and it expanded without any problems. I used Stuffit Deluxe 5 to unstuff it.
Man, that's too bad...Pale is probably the best plugin for Escape Velocity besides Galactic Scourge. Try using the advice that some of the members have already stated, and that might fix the problem...
You're a loyal follower of the Lethe as well? Interesting...I guess the name "Cydonia" just sounds bad.
1. The missions that Lethe gives you in EV to defend the planet gives you 10,000 more credits than Cydonia's missions.
2. The plugin "Empire 2: Dark Horizons" has a Lethe-Cydonian mission suite which ends in the LCA (Lethe-Cydonian Alliance) and a really cool ship.

I just downloaded Pale from ftp://www.avara.com/...Pale1.9.sit.bin using IE 5.0 mac edition and successfully unstuffed it with stuffit expander 5.1.1. This is the same file that is served to you by Ambrosia's addons page.
Without the titles and music from the home page, you miss the intro. Its definately something you want to see too :frown:.
