waht comes out of these missions.

I haven't done those missions in four years, so I can't exactly remember...Somehow, I do believe they are linked to the Confederation, though.

Yes, I know that...But the Turin Mission are not needed to accomplish the Rebel mission strings. If you are planning to just do the Rebel missions, avoid the ones offered at Turin...But if you're new to Escape Velocity, go ahead and do them for the experience.
ok thanks
I've never completed those missions. I always thought they just keep on continuing.

Sure, anytime...
Eventually, it does move on to higher level stuff like defending the planet from pirates, but I don't think they ever really end, and are pretty pointless. If you want a worthwhile, minor mission string that can be done pretty early, try Diphidia II.

If you are looking for some very good missions (linked to the Rebellion) for Diphida, use the Galactic Scourge plugin. After you help the planet rebel against the Confederation and the Aztec Mining Corporation, they become their own government, who get their own ships and fight with the Rebellion.
(Off the subject: Thanks, Mikee...I appreciate that.)
Astex, not Aztec. And, yes, the Turin missions can get you involved with the confed missions. You're asked by someone to take his 'employees' to Turin, and then you have to take one to Luna (whilst making it past not-to-happy blockade Rebel ships in Turin), and I don't know what happens after that. I did it not knowing I'd get involved with the Confederation, and once I saw the Rebs mad at me for trying to transport the dockworker (at least, that's what they were disguised as), I decided not to continue. And yes, the Diphidia string in Galactic Scourge is pretty good (and the DDT Destroyers RULE!), and I believe allow you to purchase the moghty Firebrand Juggernaught. You could, on the other hand, side with Astex and turn Diphidia II (renamed New Antares after the Astex mission string) into a toxic waste dump. Your choice

I didn't know Turin got past freighter missions. And it's pretty hard to side with Astex in Galactic Scourge because basicly everyone else except the Feds hate them........
