how do you join the rebels or the confederates.im new to this game.if you could tell me both that would be good to.

There is no specific place to join either side. You get the mission in a spcaport bar. The mission is just a cargo run, then you get more intense missions.

Both of the Rebellion and Confederation mission strings start out simple: Just keep visiting the spaceport bar on any planets that have them, and sooner or later a mission offer will pop up. They will be cargo runs for either the Confederation or Rebellion, and depending on which one you accept, you'll be on the road from there. Hope that helps.
