Ok, I was screwing around in Resedit trying to make the best weapon. I made a beam weapon longer and WIDER then the screen and made the power 32767 and tried it out. When it hit an astroroid the 'roid just dissappered!!!!!!!!!!!!

And from what I have heard, this is about the only way to do it, other than maybe loading a Confad Cruiser with nothing but Space Bombs. If you do it without cheating, I'll be really impressed.
/me remembers trying to blow up asteroids with laser cannons when I was a newbie.

Sit there for about ten minutes with a Neutron Cannon and it'll go away too. Back in around EV 1.0.0 and EV 1.0.1 the asteroids made cool explosions when you blew them up, it made it almost worth the wait destroying them.
But three or four space bombs should do the trick of destroying large asteroids, one or two for the small ones.

I thought it took a lot more bombs than that. Now I'll have to try it. And, forge, isn't your sig a bit inappropriate, since you are a mod? I'd hate to have to throw you out a window...
I heard there is also a cheat in Levo, you find a large asteroid and keep shooting it. It will eventually blow up and give you some cheat. (I have never tried this before though)

Well, I have never heard of this cheat, nothing special has happened when I've destroyed asteroids in the Levo system or any others, and Matt Burch has said that all cheats except the forklift were removed from EV before it was publicly released.

Heh...Sounds pretty cool. I did something like that with the partical beam years ago, only I never tested is on an asteroid...
