I know you keep the planet but, no one else hates you. If you buy ship that is worth less than your trade-in you gain the difference. Example say my ship is worth 2 million when I sell it and buy one that is for sale at 1 mil. Then I'd get 1 million from the trade-in. I said by the shuttle because you need a good ship to take over planets.

I dont think so! The trade-in value is towards your new ship, you dont get money back do you? I havent got any.
------------------ if it dosent doesn't squiel its not worth killing
1600,000,000 is the number of credits I have right now

You get money if the trad-in is worth more than the ship your buying. Trust me once I was so poor I had to sell my Rapier back for a Agrosy and got money.

Yes, you do. If your trade-in is worth 1 million, and you trade it for a 500 thousand ship, you get 500 thousand credits.

Here's a tip for capturing pirate planets: Go and land on the planet that is uninhabited, and blast off. If there's a government ship there, like a rebel cruiser, try demanding tribute, and since the defence fleet that comes out is labled pirate, the rebel cruiser will attack them with you. If there isn't one there, just land and take off again till there is. Just make sure you don't hit a manta by accident.
I got it! You actualy get money back.
Nish is right it does help. But once I was taking on the pirets and acidently hit a Fed cuiser , I had to kill it and then left the system only to try again later.

On the EV challenge thread, I posted a list of planets that I dominated. (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/postdisplay.cgi?forum=Forum6&topic;=001351")http://www.AmbrosiaS...m6&topic=001351(/url) This list is mostly easy planets to dominate (avoid spica, armstrong, atropos, they have rebel destroyer defense)
Unfortunately, they are mostly rebel, but defended by mantas. Mantas are only slightly harder than defenders to kill. The rebels wont hate you (much) for dominating them (as long as you dont do more than one or two). Among confed planets, deneb, enyo fuel refinery, table top, new sahara, plateau should all be easy.
All of the independents except Blackthorn are easy money. All 4 pirate planets together pay 10,000/day
If you want big money fast, you have to dominate high tech planets like blackthorn station and evildrome. These are difficult.
You do have legal status on planets you dominate. You can tell if they like you or not by checking the commodity prices. If they dont like you, they charge more money for Low, and less money for High items.

Originally posted by rebel council: **Does any one know the max number of creadits you can have in EV? 1610 Mil?
1610mil is 1.61billion, and believe this or not, i read the doc and it said they fixed a bug that stops credits from going to negs after 400billion. so i guess you can't get much over 400billion. i spend too much money to know how high you can go.

My credits stoped at 1610 Mil and will not got higher. That stinks.

Use ResEdit(or something like that) to make a mission that clears the mission bits of that string.
ummm, I don't have a Mac, and sdtupid Executor can't unstuff Resedit or EV Edit or whatever the heck you call it, i want a way to do it in the game
Originally posted by Ultimate Rebel: **do you really need more?
I do.
Originally posted by Edward_Zeth: **Can somebody put a list of the easiest systems to capture, in order of easiest to hardest?

try going in the spaceport bar in rebel systems and hope they give you a mission. though i think yo umight be stuck with the confeds. for me i only have one difference (besides amount of money) i captured luna. and i found out that it was a glitch, you can't get the other gov'ts ships. it still is cool i got a reb destroyer after completing the fed missions.

(after many hectic weeks I'm back on the boarb)(not that any one cares, but still)
YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY !!!!
You will need a plugin, but it is stuffed. If you cannot unstuff it, you are stuck as a confed. There exists stuffit expander for windows which you might try. See (url="http://"http://www.aladdinsys.com")www.aladdinsys.com(/url).
Download, unstuff, and put into your ev plugins folder the clear mission bits plugin: (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=ev/cheats&file;=ClearMissionBits.cpt.hqx")http://www.ambrosias...ionBits.cpt.hqx(/url) Accept and complete the mission for clearing bit 43 or for bit 44 (they will not both be available). One of these bits makes you a rebel, the other makes you a confed.
Remove clear mission bits plugin from your ev plugins folder.
Now go looking around rebel planets for the Rebel transfer documents mission. Completing it will make you a rebel.
