I think it's time for another thread to post stories on. Let's hear 'em!
------------------ "English? Who needs that? I'm never going to England!"-Homer Simpson
C'mon people! I'm sure some of you have tales of revenge against a pirate, or gripping stories of defeating a Confed (or Rebel) fleet! Maybe I should start it off:
With no missions to do, I decided to blast off of recently captured New Columbia with my Rebel Cruiser and Rebel Cruiser escort and patrol the area. As soon as we reached the edge of the atmosphere, my warning lights went off! One Frigate and a Confederate Cruiser stood in our way in Merlin's orbit. My escort automatically attacked the frigate, while the Cruiser launched its four patrol ships at me. My escort won it's dogfight with a minor wound in its shields, right after I demolished the last of the fighters. I only had one Manta, and my escort's Mantas had already been destroyed. It immediately attacked the Cruiser alone. Before I could get there, I watched in horror as the green blip on my radar turned to grey, then disappeared. There were many good men on that ship. Fortunately, before they died, they sent the cruisers shield to 25%. I sent my Manta out and attacked, with a fury I have never felt before. I circled around it firing all of my proton and laser guns and turrets. Before long it, too joined the debris, while I went to lick my wounds back on New Colombia, alone.
I have no interesting stories, I just blow up whatever gets in front of me. My fleet consists of 7 Rebel Cruisers. So just about everything in front of me is gone in a few seconds.
------------------
Ultimate, ever try to create a fleet with 20 rebel cruisers 20 destroyers and alot of mantas.I did (ResEdit) and when I met it in the game i felt the urge to destroy it. This fleet was made of super cruisers (like my own, with forklift missles ,unlimited)
I engaged the astronomical fleet scatering it all over the system. My escourts destroyed several ships in seconds(as did I). Flying through the system I smashed one ship after another, after another. Within the next 3 min, I (we) smashed the huge fleet. After the dust settled I tryed to fing my escourts but with little luck I whent back to the planet (sol). After I took off I found out I only had 3 of my escourts left.Which wasent so bad concidering the surcomstance(?).
Please dont post any thing about me being a Rebel and destroying a Rebel fleet. The only reason I did that is to challenge my self with the best ships in the game which are Rebel.

I just wanted to bring this topic back to the top to be seen easily.

Let's see. If I'm a Mod and I see that post ... would I be fooled by the "unregistered" handle? Hmmm.... (You crack me up, SD (II).)

Well, I just want to hear some stories! I'm bored! Gimme a break! Gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit... oh sorry. I'm hungry, too.
It is fun reading stories, but not those stories that are 5 pages long. I skipp through those.
Plus, there are too many people out there who will so "so? I've done better!" and that discourages people from posting what they think are achievements.

Well, why don't the people who say those things post stories about how they've done "better"? Anyway, who cares? Many of us would enjoy tales of destroying Argosies in Defenders or Shuttlecrafts. If your in a Kestral or warship, don't bother. Now let's hear 'em!
But its kind of hard to hold back. When you do some thing really cool you just want to say"yyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I did it, I'm the best!" so its a natural fact. And you want to see if any body beat you to it, and if they didnt yyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I love doimg that.
really ive never used resedit. haha rawzer is an offender (joking) whatdja do?
:frown: <sigh> I "provoked" Silver Dragon. :frown: I laughed at him because one of his topics got closed because of its irrelevance. Sorry, SD. Won't happen again. From now on I'm going to be on the side of justice (and be a brown-noser). Just kidding! Please don't take off another point! I'll do anything! I'm hysterical! My spirit has been ripped in half!
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Okay, I'm fine. And sorry again, Dragon of Silver. Hey, weren't there supposed to be stories on this thread?

There are a lot of interesting EV and EVO stories on the EV/O Chronicles site. Yeah, most of them are fiction, but it's still good reading! Jude

I have just met the C&C; mothership. Its an Alien ship that holds 4 alien cruisers(the ships in the EV missons). That is the ultimate force. As i atacked it destroyed me within 3 sec as I was exploding I saw my escourts boing the same one by one. That ship was about 3 inches on my screen (1026 by 780, or something). It was dark red with brown so I bearly saw it. I just charged it and was killed in seconds.
This is the story of how the valient defenders of Privateer's Haven repulsed Dr. M in the EV challenge.
I had a fully equipped corvette with no escorts. That day, I decided to dominate my first planet. I started EV earlier than usual and found myself at Lethe Prime. Now at that point in the game, I could not afford to piss off everybody in the galaxy, so the victom would have to be a pirate planet. Privateers Haven was next door, so I set out to Rewl there.
In privateers haven, I plundered ships at will until all the pirate scum were gone. I landed to refuel, then issued my Demand. 5 rapiers responded and died quickly. The next 5 met the same fate, but then i had to run due to lack of shields. After I recovered, I swept the rapiers out of space again. I got cocky with the next wave and took several heavy rocket hits. I resorted to the "monty python" tactic to down several rapiers while my shields recovered.
Now, my preferred way to fight is to fly beside the target ship, point my nose at it and blow it away with forward guns (the same tactic that kills the alien cruiser). The rapier turns quickly enough to aim at me, but the computer has problems lining up a heavy rocket shot and usually misses. Against 5 proton cannons and 2 proton turrets, rapiers dont last long enough for a second shot. In contrast, the monty python tactic has you run from the target ship and fire backwards at it. It works, but it is slow.
I figured that I was nearly finished with the defense fleet, and my shields were back, so I switched from the monty to my usual tactic. Again, rapiers died like rats in a cat pit. I had drifted far from Privateers Haven so, rather than fly back, I waited for the rapiers to come to me. They came all in a pack, I had to retreat. I got close looking for a break in the rapier formation, and ate a couple of rockets. I fell back to the monty python. but then hit the edge of the screen. The rapiers pounced. For one second, the defense fleet was guided by the god of war and they could not miss. Afterburners were not fast enough. Tritanium was not strong enough. My broken ship streaked toward Privateer's Haven trailing fire...
Heeeey! Cool and descriptive! Though you met the same faith as me. Sad really!
