Fighter Quirk

I've noticed that the fighters you launch from your bays are not as well equipped as computer fighters. For example: A rebel manta that you launch from your rebel cruiser has 1 missile. A manta that is launched from a computer controlled Rebel Cruiser or Escort Carrier has 3 missiles. I was wondering, is this intentional or a bug with my game? Also, how can I change it with resedit or something? A manta with 1 missle is useless 🙂

------------------

The fighters from your ship are in their stock condition: no changes, they are the spitting image of that shiny new fighter for sale at only 120,000 credits at your local spaceship dealer; i.e. they can have no changes, and you have no control over it. The fighters you encounter in the game almost never are in the stock condition when it comes to secondary weapons like javelins of torpedoes; for example, a manta that launces out of your ship's fighter will have only 1 missile, but a manta you might be attacked by would have a randomized amount of missiles, but usually within a certain amount, say, from 1 to4.

What about if you sell all your mantas, and then attack another rebel cruiser and steal it's upgraded ones. I know it's a scummy thing to do, but would they still be upgraded?

------------------

all mantas have 3 missiles(unless they upgraded themselves they might have 4) my mantas have 3 missiles. maybe you just arenn't fast enough to see them launch all their missiles. oh and mantas cost 80 or 90k credits.
