sgip sprites? No clue what those are. The sprites in the game are simply PICT files; those can be created in any graphics program. The actual ship sprites are created with Infini-D, a (now dead) 3D rendering program.

Several people have created ships for EV using a $20 shareware 3-D program called Mechanisto , created by Mike Clifton. You also want to make use of Mechanisto Helper and Mechanisto Tutorial.
