If you could make a list of the weapons, that would be great. I love EV but it's been so long since I played it I forgot what's there. Also, this is only weapons, not upgrades, right? i.e., no missile jammer or mass expansion. That's fine if it is.

I'd pick proton turret because it's reliable and fast...unless you want to include the forklift, then I choose that.

Javelins. Don't ask me why, but I love em' and always have them on every ship I own.

Javelins, most definitely. Get two pods and 999 of them, and you can take out anything. Javelins are the way I take out a Confed cruiser with any ship, defender and shuttlecraft included.

I get beaten in a Shuttlecraft by four (or is it five?) missiles. And then theyve get those proton turrets. How do you do it?

MacMan must be using the famed 'Monty Python Maneuver'- and probably cheating. It is surely impossible to beat a confed cruiser in a defender without help from, say, aa rebel cruiser.
I think that javiline rockets are the best.
