How can you defeat the pirates gathering in a corvette without cheats? Has anyone done it?

I can kill any pirates with a Corvette loaded with missiles.

I can kill ANYTHING with a Rapier, Sheild Regenerators, and Torpedos. This includes Confed Crusiers.

To beat the pirate gathering- Slay the pirates one by one, kestrels only. Each time you kill one, land on the planet. There will be one less kestrel when you go back out with your shields back up...

Did you mean the pirate planet or the uninhabited one? What if you restock on weapons while you are there?(if it is the pirate planet)

Yeah, that's pretty good advice that guy gave you.
Here's a little thing I figured out:
1. Get the mission where the Hunters escort you, and the Corvetts try to kill you. 2. Wait for all the Hunters to get killed 3. Land on Levo 4. Leave and Disable and board the Corvetts, and try to capture them. 5. Land on Levo 6. Take off again 7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you have 6 Corvetts for escorts 8. They will take care of about 1/3-1/2 of the Kesterals for you. The rest you should be able to handel. If you still cant, disable all the Lightnings with Javelines, and board and capture them as you're corvetts are destroyed. Then send all 6 of them at a Kesteral at once.
