it turns out that the "update" you can d/l from the Ambrosia EV Add-Ons page IS the entire EVGE. That's all you need. I just tried it (see my topic on EVGE)

Absolutely. Maybe you need to re-download it -- maybe what they had two months ago was just the update, but now it's the plug plus the update. Trust me, I just played it.
