Every time I come to one of the boards I am not recognised as a member. I have to keep altering my profile to install a cookie for that visit. Does this happen to everybody, or anybody else?
------------------
Hasn't happened to me.
I suggest you check your browser preferences.

One sign you've been playing EV/O too long: If you play a racing game and you keep shifting into neutral (then reverse...) because you're trying to use afterburners.

A cookie is a file on your hard drive that stores information that some websites use to identify you. Its supposed to make things easier for you, but sometimes they just make a mess out of things.

Yes, I have to reenter it every time I quit IE. I think it is something with IE 5, because I didn't have problems with 4.5
------------------ And so the problem remained; lots of people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches. Many were increasingly of the opinion that they had all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that the trees had been a bad move and that no one should ever have left the oceans.
The exact same happens with 5.5b as well.

Well it happens to me using Navigator 4.8, I.E. 5 and iCab so it can't be the browser.
Well, it won't take the cookie at all for me in iCab.
Cookie? No. But I think I'm l o O s i N G m Y M I N D ! ! ! ! ! !

If www is an abbreviation, how come it's got more syllables?
Right................

Do you have more than one name registered?

No, just the one name. When I post to the group, I must type in my name and password and then I get a cookie for that session only. But it only applies to i-cab or whichever browser I use. Next session, it is gone again,

Ah, ok it now makes sense.
