The "Big F-Off flame gun" cheat

This may be old news to some of you, but do you know how to get a massively powerful short-ranged gun.

Basically, find a place which sells the Neutron gun, buy one and select it as your secondary weapon. Next go back and sell it again. However, when you leave the planet/station, it will still be the selected weapon and fire very fast like a flame-thrower. It is great for killing the Alien ships near the end of the game.

I must admit that I used this the first time, but I have also done it without cheating at all!

If I remember correctly, that bug was fixed many versions ago. What version are you using?

hmmm, i've never seen/heard/used this cheat, interesting... maybe i'll give it a whirl sometime
