How do i get rid of Escorts????!!!

i had a kestrel, and i captured some clippers to be my escorts, but now i cannot seem to get rid of them. How do i get rid of my clipper escorts?!

Just use the contol-tab (or is it opiton-tab?) key combo to cycle through the available targets in the system untill your escorts are highligted. When they are, press y to get to the communications screen. Then click on the button free from servitude, and you've then got one less escort. 🙂

It is OPTION-tab, then Y to open communications, then "release from servitude." Be careful, though, if you happen to engage harmless freighters, Rebels, or Confeds - anybody, your escorts, provided that they are quite strong - i.e., Corvette and above, will engage YOU. If you engage pirates, however, they will ignore you.

Well they better ignor you if you are fighting a pirate. Also, you lose legal points when a merchant attacks you (kinda sucky if you ask me)

Those who stand, will always fall.

There is another way. Run out of money. That way they will not follow you. That is always what happens to me.

Why is there yogurt in this cap?
-It used to be milk but time makes fools of us all.

Not if it is captured. Most people should capture ships for escorts if they know what they are doing. I always capture and release ships cause escort ships are a pain in the ass unless it is a mission like the UGE final mission with lucus were you attack a fleet of pirates. I only bring 4 rebel cruisers and 3 confed cruisers (one of em is me) and rip the living daylights out of em. It is fun to over kill on that mission, and it saves me money hehehe.

What's with this ctrl-tab to cycle through ships? I only need to press the option key, and it cycles through in-system ships.

Escorts suck.

Don't use them and discover true freedom, not to mention fun.

It's funny how people running for president spend $60 Million for a $175,000 a year job.
