Your ship could get disabled and it could be boarded and you could be forced to do escort work, or your ship might self-destruct? Wouldn't it be cool if they put it in EV3 but have an option to turn it off?

I hope you f**** kidding with that topic. Escort work. Do you know how crap that would have been. How could that possibly work. Should EV3's engine overfill itself with unnecessary crap and take up more space on the computer???

Yes, how exciting. Being forced to follow an AI around and completely unable to do anything about it. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
I mean, golly.

Well, it would be kinda neat if they could board and steal, say, you're credits. It would add a challenge, and make pirates more realistic.

Well, not just pirates. Sure it would be better if pirates would actually board you and take credits, cargo etc, but it would also seem more realistic if other AI ships would actually offer you money to not attack them, or gov ships boarding and confiscating your ship (then you have to start of buying a new one).
But being captured puts a damper on fun cause then you have to listen to what a computer tells you.

Totally, I've always dreamed of that. Another thing I'd love is if ships would actually ask YOU for fuel, and you could demand a price. And another thing would be nice is if when you met a merc and you were in a fight you could pay them to help..... Man, that would be nice.
Or, how about you being able to sell your fuel back to the spaceport authorities. Like you can say x units of fuel for a certain price. Then, those with ramscoops could make a small profit. Another idea:more than 6 escorts and more than 36 ships in system. Also, I hope that there will be the ability to make plug-in's fo it.

The fuel thing to sell at the spaceport I don't think is that hard, just a few hundred extra lines of code hehehe. But I think having more then 6 excorts is kinda not fun. I mean, look at it this way, you wouldn't have to do any combat, say you are in a Rebel Cruiser surrounded by about 10 rebel destroyers, darn... he scratched my ship... see what I mean, even that is pretty bad. But more then 36 ships is good. That way you can have bigger battles between governments. None of the dumb 20 kestrels or 10 Rebel cruisers. Like a big space battle, say 20 rebel warships and 20 confed warships. But then, you could make it bigger to say 40 of each, but that is WAY to big, and many.
What I want to see if they do ev4 <---(wishful thinking aye hehehe) is were you can have command of your own government. THAT is hard, but a LONGGGGGGG way off.
Yeah! That would totally rock the smegs :D! Maybe you could find and colonize planets too! So there could be many objectives in the game: Fight, Make money, Buy a colonizer and find a new planet, register a new government! It would also be cool if you could make money off your planets, and buy structures to keep your planet stable until you can just leave it and let it grow on its own!

You can never leave a planet in real life. They will always need somethin. But then this would be to close to Masters Of Orion and SimCity.

Well, maybe you could appoint AI's as advisors, who run your planet for you. Then they could run the economy and you would get the money.
I have always wished you could leave your escorts on the ground or have them do some routine cargo runs (with a probability of failure) with out you. If you are doing especailly evil things, perhaps some of your escorts should try to defect. Also, the ability for dominated planets to rebel and take control again--or have a mission flag where that is the result for failure. Little ships should know who they are attacking. If I'm flying a Confed Cruiser, no pirate in a defender should attack me. In the same way, an outfit which makes my scoutship look like a cruiser on an ai's radar would be cool (or vice versa).
I could go on all day.

Yes, I kinda find it annouying when you have little pirate defenders attacking you in a cruiser :). I agree, they should make ships with better AI. You could make a new government and have AI's incharge of fleets and stuff, and you get to pick ships that you use for your military :). Which is permanent. And you can pick Special Ships and name em U.S.S. something or other. But that requires a HELL of alot more work then normal EV, EVO, and most likely EV 3.
