MBurch!Andrew! Someone read this!

It seems this issue has been avoided several times - now I just want an answer
to a simple question: Will EV3 support plug-ins? ANSWER ALREADY!
I know you will read this. I know you secretly watch everything we do,
monitering us, your programs no doubt taking control of our computers, reading
our brain waves, telling you all.... Don't deny it. And I know you know. The
answer to the question, among other things.

Good work. At least one person other then me accepts the truth. Anyhow, if you're familiar with the Nova Conspiracy, you'll know what misnedit is for...

Nova Conspiracy? Sounds like something I should definitely know about, but I
don't. Of course I probably knew at one time, but no doubt I was mindwiped. What is it? Is it a plug-in? Sounds like a plug-in. If it isn't it should be.
(This is EV taking over and telling me what to say ;))

I'm not allowed to explain on this webboard. E-mail me for more info 😉

I love rumors, since matt is supposedly rewriting the engine to make it work with 16 and 32 bit graphics, why would waste his time figuring out resource forks when he can just hard code all the data into the game itself, so much easier 😉

Chamrin

PS don't take anything I say in this thread seriosly, or should you? Don't ask me, I'm just a walking contradiction.

Nah, Matt Burch seems a bit too "open" to me to not allow users to **** with the game. IE: EV, EV:O and Exobattle.

Hey! I've been the one saying Nova would probably be its own game since the old boards! =p
The very fact about the enhancements being made fit right into what ATMOS wanted. Have you ever seen any of he Nova ships... they kick *** in 16bit color.

Yes, actually I did.

Hey Aaaandrewwww. You are still avoiding the questiooooon.

You see the reason I have strong suspicions is because at present the ships are just animated by multiple pictures of the same ship (Crude description, but it works). But if you have cool effects like 'glowing while you thrust' then how are is it going to be possible to duplicate that? Maybe by strings, or you might need an actual editor other than good ol' ResEdit, but I am afriad that SOMEONE might decide it's too much bother. And what has been done to Burch?! Has he been locked up to prevent him from giving away state secrets to the poor masses? Huh? Huh?

Hell, this is so easy i can take a stab at it 😛

You want thrusters?

Fine, you simply have two sets of sprites. One with thruster's active, one without it.

Then, the two sprites overlay each other or such, so when you activate your thrusters, the one with the engine fire comes up...and presto, you have thrusters.

So, i'm assuming, IF you wanted thrusters, you'd put a sprite with the ships thrusters on. And IF you didn't want thrusters, you left the extra sprite field blank or something.

Perhaps someone with a lot more plug experience or whatever back me up?

See, told you it was soo easy even i could take a stab at it 😉

CS

yeah actually they should fade into each other two, so it gives the appearance that the thrusters are turning on and off. But it would happen real quick like 1/4 -1/2 a second.

Ignorance is the most exciting thing to destroy right?

Chamrin

Oh, shut up. 😉

You are right of course, and I should have thought of it. And I bet I would have if I had thought about it a bit, too! So there, anyway!
Ignorance can be lots of fun......

BUT.

Ah but.

Andrew is STILL avoiding the question, isn't he? Well, isn't he? Vely Vely suspishy, if you ask me.
