What is a good graphics program for Mac to create the Target Pics of EV?

Well, I have Appleworks, but when I create a target pic and insert it into my plugin, it has some sort of grey border around it. When I save the image, what format do you suggest - JPG, PICT, GIF, BMP, or AppleWorks?
Well, PICT is the format that is used in the plugins, so you will want to save it as that. Photoshop allows you to save a file as a PICT resource, meaning that you can copy-paste the pict directly from ResEdit.
