a few questions, please advise....

Hi, I'm running into a few problems as I play EV... It seems I've hit my max escort number. How do I get rid of the escorts I have (mainly scout ships and clippers) in order to capture larger ships? Also, I have run quite a few rebel missions, protecting planets here and there, running munitions around, etc... I have a corvette and about 2.5 million credits in the bank. How long do I have to wait before I can start buying rebel ships? Is there a certain planet I have to go to to buy them or what? Perhaps I have not yet done enough stuff for the rebels to offer me some... and oh, how do most rebel ships compare to a kestral? What is the prime ship to shoot for (in a manner of speaking, of course, lol) I'll probably continue presenting questions as I come up with them. 🙂 Thanks for all your help.

You pointin' that thing at me?

Hold option when you cycle through the targets of the ships in the system. When you select one of your escorts, hail it, there is a button to let it out of your servitude.

OK, go back to the EV board screen, and go back to the 2nd page of posts that dates back to about the middle of April. Click on the "Searching for list of Rebel missions" post by Gant, and scroll down until you get to my reply that includes every single Rebel mission. I would of just typed it again here, but it took me about an hour to type in the first place. That should answer all of your mission questions.

EVula has already answered this, but the short answer is "RTFM!" It's all in the 'Escape Velocity Documentation' file.

Rebel Ships are available at Palshife after you have completed a certain difficult mission for the rebels (I won't say which one, that will spoil the fun 🙂 )

The rebel destroyer compares fairly well to a Kestrel, somewhat slower and less maneuverable as I recall, and has no fighter bay. The rebel cruiser is bigger and carries more weapons and is better armored and shielded, but much slower and clumsier than a Kestrel. The best ship is the one that you personally find the most effective and most fun to use; there is no one "best" ship for everyone.

Actually, the Rebel Destroyer is more maneuverable than the Kestrel. The overall engine stats of the Destroyer are the exact same as the Corvette.
