There really ought to be more ships in EV and EVO. Personally, I like EV better than EVO because there are more ships available earlier in the game. But the game would be a lot better if there was a second corvette, or another kestrel. The EV plug in "empire" is pretty cool becauuse it has 30 more ships( and two better shuttles.)Later! -SCOTTY
I agree; I think that the maximum number of ships should be much more than 64; perhaps 90 or so. However, that happening is doubtful, since Ambrosia doesn't want its games to require too-powerful a system, so that it can sell games to people who are on older machines.

He means ready-made ships in standard EV, not plugin capacity. Anyway, if they wanted to increase it it would have to be to 128, not 90 thanks to the wonders of bits n bytes :). I could be wrong, I'm not a programmer.

I agree that there are not enough ships. You would think that there would be more models of ships and different paint jobs on them. You would also think you could go to the planet of the creators of the ship you wanted and get them to create one for you. Like an orange and gray Kestral with a couple of lightning bays. That would be cool and would personify your own ship. There should be more ship designs. The ships in a fleet should not be identicle copies of one another but follow a general pattern but deviate from the pattern on a few things.

Just go to an online shipyard and download a bunch of ships, and put them in a plug-in. But then were will I get all the ships for my plug-ins? One day I'll mine the shipyards dry...
