After disabling a ship, sometimes I find the capture odds are different, even for the same ship.

i think that sheilds have something to do with it...once i captured a frigate with a courier and i had 100% sheilds...another time ive tried to capture courier with a frigate and ive got 50% armour...then it doesnt work
Shields, crew and random odds. I believe it says this in the documentation that came with EV.

Another factor, I believe, is the exact armor status of the disabled ship. I don't know if shields enter into it, btw.

basically it is the number of people in your crew and the number of people in thier crew with the status of your ship
