EVGE Alien Ships....

Any tips or tricks on "capturing" any of the Alien vessels after disabling them? I've disabled command ships, patrol ships, Marauders, and have stolen their ammo, resulting in big bucks, but I've yet to capture one. I've used the Puma Destroyer, Proxima Battlecruiser, and I'm currently using the Orion Battleship. No success yet.

Generally, the odds of capturing a ship depend on the relative sizes of the crew. You need a much larger crew to have a good chance of capturing a ship. Also, the odds are supposedly much better if you do not attempt to plunder a ship before trying to capture it. If you want to capture a ship, it is better to try immediately after you board it; if plunder is more important, get what you can and then try to capture.

If you can't find it in the archives, I can send it to you in segments. It is 7.6Megs unstuffed.

Well, you may want to consider waiting (probably a long while, sorry) for the "final" version to come out. I'm pretty busy so it'll take a while to finish it, but progress is being made.

If you can't stand waiting for a few weeks or months then there are a number of places to get it - if you use Hotline the Starlight HL server is one, and you might be able to get it via WWW somewhere if you look hard enough. If your e-mail can take it there's nothing wrong with accepting Mike's offer.
