My addon sdo not work

MY ADD ONS DONT WORK AND WHEN I PUT THEM IN MY ADD ON
FOLDER THEY DO OT WORK ,LIKE I HAVE INTANWARP AND IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO
DO THAT AND I ALLSO HAVE LEGION AND THERE IS NO SYSTEM NAMED "CRAB
SYSTEM"

first, please don't use all caps.

second, to test a new plug you have to remove all the other plugs first to avoid a conflict.

If the plug still doesn't work, use ResEdit to check for bugs.

I presume you made this plug in EVedit, right? NEVER use EVedit. That program is a piece of sh-- that will corrupt all of your plugs.

The best program for making plugs is ResEdit.

All EV auditor does is find errors, it doesn't fix anything. You absolutely MUST have Res Edit and know how to use it to make good plugs.

I'm not sure where you can download Res Edit, but just look around for it on the internet. Go to (url="http://"http://www.infoseek.com")www.infoseek.com(/url) and type in "ResEdit" and click on "Search". Then it will probably give you a site you can download ResEdit from.

The "Res Edit Beginners Guide" wil show you how to use ResEdit to make good EV plug-ins.

Another VERY useful document for learning how to make good plugs is the "EV Bible" I'm not sure where you can download it, though. I think it comes with EV version 1.5.

i know but my audiotor does not say their is no problem i just need to know what to do to make my plugin active

Ok, here's how to use plugs:

1.) Download the plug or get it from a CD and unstuff it.

2.) Put it in the folder called "EV plug-ins" that already exists within the Escape Velocity folder. Only use one plug at a time, even if plug checker says it's OK. You have to do this the first time you use any plug to see if it works properly. (unless the plug was made as an add-on to another plug...)

3.) Click on the Escape Velocity icon and go to "Get Info" in the file menu.
4.) In the "Get Info" window for EV, click in the "Reccommended size" box and type "20000". That will allocate 20 megabytes of RAM to Escape Velocity. If you don't have that much RAM, you need to get a better computer, like an iMac.
5.) Close the "Get Info" window.
6.) Run Escape Velocity.

If the plug still doesn't work right, it is probably corrupted or flawed, so just delete it and download a different plugin. I reccomend EV Game Expander.
That plug adds a ton of ships, systems, outfits, and missions. You can download it in the EV archives page here:

Try "Pale", "Clavius and Beyond", or "Star Trek: EV".
They are all in the EV archives
