Sometimes when I am playing Uplink the game will suddenly quit for no reason. I am running an IMac G5(the brand new ones). I have no mods installed. This is what the crash log says,
Host Name: 0-1pool36-205.nas1.little-rock1.ar.us.da.qwest.net Date/Time: 2004-11-07 16:33:46 -0600 OS Version: 10.3.5 (Build 7P36) Report Version: 2
Command: Uplink Path: /Applications/Uplink 1.3.3/Uplink Version: ??? (???) PID: 472 Thread: 0
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000a40
Help?
I'm by no means an expert, but I'd reinstall Uplink.
The bad access at 0x0001 suggests that it tried to access a 'short' or 'long' type memory position at an odd position. Try again a few times, and if not, reinstall.
Reinstall the full version.
i wiped all uplink files from my computer except my user file and i downloaded and reinstalled ulplink but it still gives me the same crap. help?

We can't help. If, after a reinstall, it still crashes, we don't know what to do. I have a suggestion: go play EVN!
Does Uplink not work on G5s?
Some parts of the game work on G5 but when i connect to a LAN and immeadiatly hit the LAN view button it crashes. I could try starting a new user and seeing what that does to it. jakepalmer
Works fine for me on my G5 running the latest OS X.

Yeah, that happens every other time I try it on my computer (Which is an eMac latest OS 1.25 Ghz)
I have yet to hear from the ambrosia software service. I emailed them a month ago and I have not heard anything about my problem. It makes me mad that i payed for this game and they wont help me!
